We left Denali and we're not expecting such a luxurious car and such professional and courteous staff. The dining car served delicious fare, incredible desserts and plentiful drinks. The seats were very comfortable, the restrooms are spacious and the scenery was unbelievable! Highly recommend this trip from Denali to Anchorage.

This was my first U.S. train trip and it was great. The food was good, the ride was smooth, and the staff was very helpful and informative. There were a lot a different views to see Alaska. You could sit up top with large windows, at the end where the caboose is, or in the dining car where you could... More

The Gold Star dome cars offered great views but the seats did not have enough leg room and the food was not up to the standards of first class service on the Canadian scenic trains. Also the narrator was in sufficiently informed.

We are in anchorage for a day before we leave on a cruise. We were looking for something to do with our parents who can't do too much walking. This was the perfect day trip. The train is very comfortable and clean The people on it are very friendly and informative The train goes to several glaciers and by terrific... More

We departed Anchorage at 8:15 am and arrived in Denali at 4:00 pm. The journey was stunningly beautiful and the service onboard was excellent. We wisely decided to go the extra mile and spring for the GoldStar Service, it was worth every penny! Our railroad car was a glass dome, we had assigned seats and the environment was impeccably clean.... More

We took the Alaska Railroad Dome from Anchorage to Seward to get to our cruise ship. Don't scrimp on this trip! It is worth the fare to be in the glass dome part of the train for the view and the service. Just the story of how they made this railway and the S curve up the mountainside are worth... More

Took Aramark train round trip from Girdwood to Seward, AK. Paid extra for "Gold Star" status which included seating in the glass domed observation level, drinks, and breakfast going and dinner on the return trip. Morning trip to Seward was delightful. Staff was friendly and efficient. Beverage service operated very nicely. Breakfast was better than expected. However, return trip back... More

We're glad you enjoyed the ride down to Seward, but very disappointed to hear that our service fell so far short on the return journey. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We've passed along your comments to our dining and bar services team and are re-working our onboard processes to ensure this doesn't happen again. I'd be... More

We took the Coastal (Anchorage to Seward) trip. Boy was it long ... but worth every second of it. Rachel was awesome as the narrator. Definitely would take this trip again ... anytime! Just a word of advice - the "coach" cars are generally full of children (under 10). Be prepared for loud screaming kids unless you upgrade to the... More

I took the train from Anc. to Denali what a beautiful ride. The scenery what just magnificent lots to see and photograph. I was there at the end of the season so the crowds were not to bad. If you ever get the a chance take the train.

Took the Alaska Railroad to Seward from Anchorage. Was a nice trip, but not for small children. The scenery was beautiful! The PA system could have been a little clearer & louder when they were announcing points of interest as we traveled past them. Overall, I enjoyed the experience!
