This museum is really kind of 2 in 1 - an art museum on one side and a history museum upstairs. Both are very well-done. And an adult admission is only $8. Are they kidding? In Alaska? I can barely buy a glass of beer for that much, let alone get an afternoon's worth of entertainment. The history museum is... more
This was my first stop in Anchorage because of a rainy day. We expected to stay for an hour or two, and ended up being there for 5 hours. Take the guided tour at the second floor for an overview of Alaska history then go back and look at the displays a little closer. I wouldn't have gotten as much... more
The history of the native alaskan's was really informative. There is alot of interesting things in the exhibit. more
Spent a rainy day here. It was great, just a few blocks walk from the Aspen Hotel. I think all ages would enjoy this museum. more
