My friends and I went Kayaking on Sunday of the 4th of July weekend. It took about 30 minutes for them to get us 4 single kayaks. It took us around 90 minutes to go up to the Fremont bridge and back again (about 4 miles). We had a great time. Seeing all the other boats, planes, and ducks in... More

There are lots of places to rent kayaks in Seattle but Moss Bay is my favorite. Always have kayaks available, friendly staff, great location, reasonable rates and after you kayak you can grab a beer on the patio of A Terrible Beauty.

My cousin and I rented paddle boards here last month and the entire experience was fantastic! Instructions were clear and the equipment was in great condition. Super nice staff!

What a great day on Lake Union. The kayak was sleek and fast. We paddled the periphery of Lake Union in two hours. A beautiful day. The facility was easy to get to and the attendants excellent. Thanks for a nice outdoor day in Seattle.

I love renting kayaks from this place. It is pain free to rent and prices are reasonable. You can't beat the sights of Lake Union, I love the house boats. My only bit of advice is make sure you let them know if you are a new kayaker. They do not offer any instruction unless you ask. That's great if... More

Quick. Easy and reasonable price. A little hard to find, but walk right up without a reservation and rent a few kayaks and you will be out on lake Union in a few minutes. If you need instructions or are nervous, might find a place that gives more instruction. There is no instruction or tips. Just great a kayak and... More

This outfit came to our attention through their Living Social offer. The staff was okay, but neglected to explain some key points. They were friendly, but didn't go into details. It was a windy day, so the tip that we passed to another kayak group was to stay on one side of the lake. We might have stayed in the... More

Seeing Seattle from the water is a great way to get some unique perspectives on the city. Checking out the kayaks was simple and quick, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the day on the water was quite a bit of fun.

Lake Union is beautiful and fun to kayak but rent from somewhere else. Moss Bay has inferior kayaks and inattentive staff. My boyfriend and I recently went here and rented kayaks. We were there with a large group and before we went out on the water the staff told us there would be one staff member at the front and... More

When I think of renting gear on vacation, it's always 3 times the price I expect and a hassle to get going. NOT THE CASE here at Moss Bay. It's very reasonable to rent their equipment, the parking at the marina is cheap and we were off in our tandem kayak in 5 minutes enjoying Lake Union on a beautiful... More
