We weren't planning on doing this tour but a room mate in our hostel just raved about it so we decided to go. Best decision! The tour was fantastic! Small groups, knowledgable and entertaining guide and super interesting history. Cool history about Seattle I never would've known about. They take you to some underground spots that only they have access... More

I'm not usually a fan of historic tours, but I loved this one. Jim, the guide, is funny and engaging without being hokey. The Seattle story is very interesting, and Jim explains it in expert fashion. The tour is short and snappy (exactly one hour long), which I enjoyed. Well worth the money.

We got to see parts of the city you can't get access to on your own. The guide told amazing stories about the history of Seattle. Whether you're interested in learning more about the Klondike Gold Rush, the Fire of 1889, First Nations, or trudging through the underground of Seattle, you'll find it all here for an excellent ticket price!... This is a small company but that doesn't mean they are not as good as the famous one. In fact, less crowed groups allow you to listen and ask questions much easier. You visit secret spots and can take pictures to pieces that otherwise they were impossible to catch. With a lot of sense of humor and wide knowledge, David... More

I have taken the competitors tour as well, but my wife had never done this. So I tried BTS because they had a Groupon and the price was very reasonable. I am glad we did. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the History of Seattle and why the city had this underground. I learned a lot about the underground that... More

Me and my wife took this tour during an extended weekend in Seattle. Very interesting to learn about the way they rebuilt the area after the fire of 1889 (if memory serves me). I somehow expected more underground tinnelling, but that's probably down to my lack of researching. The group counted only six, very intimate and the guide, Dan, was... More

I contacted beneath the streets to order two tickets for a friend and me. She is an Alaskan and I am from Redlands. Subsequently, my friend's husband became seriously ill and was hospitalized in Seattle. I didn't expect a refund but not only did I get a refund, I received a very kind response. I would recommend this tour to... More

Very impressed by the knowledge of area underground history by the tour guide (He previously was with Bill Speidel Tours for 16 years). Smaller group size, kid friendly, interactive and interesting. What more could you want.

This is a great tour. You may feel you have to choose between this and the Underground Tour. You don't. Both are very good, themed differently, and have their own locations to explore. I suggest splashing for both. This one is a little less crowded and more personal as a result. At least it was when I visited. It is... More
