We walked to the U of W campus on a beautiful Sunday morning via the Burke-Guilman Trail from The University Village Mall. Stunning architecture with The Quad and The Suzallo Library as highlights. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the views of downtown and Mt. Ranier.

Walked through the university grounds, library and bookstore to show kids the beautiful campus. Always nice to visit older academies with the beautiful old building. Kids loved the grandeur of the library

Both my daughters went to school here. This is a great school and very famous for it's Medical school. Beautiful campus. School tuition fee is expensive for out of state students, almost 3 times.Lot of good restaurants nearby to walk around and eat. Many dorms are being re-modeled and getting a modern look.I kinda miss the royal old look some... More

I went to this university for a summer camp and it was such a great experience. The campus is beautiful! It is very green and the buildings are so traditional. It was very refreshing.

I'm a keen rower and coach. This university has one of the best rowing clubs I have seen anywhere in the world. Great looking gardens and roads to go walking and running. This university has a very good reputation.

The University of Washington is set in a beautiful park-like area overlooking Lake Washington. It is served by Seattle Metro Buses, and soon by Sound Transit light rail. Many cultural events take place in campus buildings and are available to the general public, though not free. The Burke Museum and the Henry Art Gallery are great places, also located on... More

Spent a couple of hours walking (and driving) around the campus and area. Very beautiful. Visitor center is not open on weekends, so plan accordingly

Living in California, we are not as used to the beautiful old buildings we saw at UW. And we certainly aren't used to green grass!
