Hubby treated me to the Argosy cruise to Tillicum Village where we enjoyed the salmon bake. The trip out to the island was narrated, which helped us to understand what we will be seeing. The boat was smooth and very quiet. Once on the island as we walked toward the long house, we were given mugs of clams in broth.... More

Without a special discount, this trip would be too expensive. However, with the discount, one did not have to worry about monetary value and could enjoy all that this experience offers. You get to sail on a small ship (perhaps about 100 passengers) across the Sound. You come up to small Blake Island and are greeted by hosts with steaming... More

Suggestion - make sure you dress to hike on the island for the day. Go early and take the last boat back to Seattle. This is a state park worth visiting if you want to know the beginning history of Seattle Washington. You listen to history on your way to the island for lunch. Then they perform the native dances... Great tour from start to finish. Exceptional guide during lovely boat ride to island. Steamed clams were a hit with everyone. Watching the salmon prepared the traditional way made it taste even better during dinner later. We were impressed by the food. You don't expect a "mass feeding" to be so good. Every single item was delicious. The staff was... More

This was a wonderful trip which I enjoyed with my son and daughter-in-law in late July. Everything was done well from the boat trip with narration to the food and entertainment. The island is rather lovely as well and during the trip you have great views from the boat of the Seattle skyline and Mount Rainier to name just a... More

The buffet dinner is very good and, since there can be large crowds, efficiently run. Of course the alder cooked salmon is superb. Although the portions are rather small; so be prepared to ask for more or go back for seconds. The entertainment is a well done video describing the local native American culture. The video is augmented with live... More

Ok. We expected cheesy but were pleasantly surprised by the earnestness of the boat narrator, the gorgeous scenery, the salmon cooking (and eating), the beautiful Blake Island. The long tables and the show had a bit of a feel of mass tourism, but the food was good and, although the show had only 2 live performers, it was entertaining. We... More

This was a great trip on Argosy to Tillicum Village. The trip to the island was informative and enjoyable. As you dock you are greeted with amazing steamed clams in a broth - delicious. When you go into the long house you can see how they cook the salmon (which taste amazing). Everyone on the island were so nice, the... More

I spent this morning on Blake Island with my five-year old grandson. We met the Argosy tour boat at pier 55 and traveled 45 minutes to the island. While in route, we enjoyed a local history discussion and stories of Native Peoples in the area. When we arrived, we were greeted with steaming cups of freshly cooked clams followed by... More

I booked a Tillicum Village cruise through Argosy Cruises for myself and a friend. I had bought two City Passes and selected the upgrade option. I upgraded via telephone, and it went quite smoothly. The fee included a narrated cruise trip to Blake Island (about 45 minutes on the water each way), a clam soup appetizer, a buffet and a... More
