We did the dinner with 4 kids. The whole experience from ferry ride, to arrival, dinner and show were all excellent. The lodge is really nice. My kids (9, 7, 7, and 3) all had a great time and enjoyed the show. My husband does not like salmon and even he thought it was good. The buffet was fresh and... More

If you like salmon you will like this. Cooked historically, wonderful boat trip over (bring a coat unless it is really hot out because the wind can get chilly). Once there there are trails if you are inclined to hike. I thought the show was terrific. Because of the boat trip plan on spending a few hours away from seattle.

A small group of us went with someone who needed to use a wheelchair for part of the trip. The service was fantastic! The staff efficiently and carefully got us all aboard the ship and settled. They were very thoughtful about having the wheelchair available on the island also, even though it was not needed for part of this visit.... More

On a nice day, this activity might have received a "5" but the day we visited cold and rain took away some of the fun. It takes about 4 hours to cruise to Blake Island, eat a yummy dinner (the salmon was delicious), see a live show explaining part of the culture of the people who settled Seattle and Chief... More

This is definitely a great experience! From the moment you step off your boat and are welcomed with delicious steamed clams right through the wonderful baked salmon dinner and the entertaining dinner show you will be creating a great vacation memory! The only down side we found was the narrator on the trip over. The narrative was too long, he... More

What I like about visiting new places is learning about the native people's culture and history. Tillicum Village was a great place to learn about the native culture. It begins with a buffet prepared by the natives containing the foods that they have used to survive and maintain health. This is followed by a stage show to demonstrate their music,... More

We took family members out on this island via a cruise from Seattle. Everything was really beautiful and green. They had a wonderful salmon bake and we wished we had filled our plates as they packed up the remaining foods soon after we got our first plate! There was a beautiful show in the lodge while we ate. There is... More

The Seattle waterfront is dynamic - and to start this trip, you have to experience the waterfront. Parking can be a challenge, especially with construction, so allow plenty of time. The Argosy boats are stable, reliable, and have both covered and uncovered seating. Listen close to the person speaking on the boat ride - many opportunities to learn some Seattle... More

The boat ride and storytelling during the ride were great. However, once on the island, we were rushed into dinner, even though it was a small crowd that day. The food was good. The "show" was mostly recorded, which greatly reduced our enjoyment. There were some live dancers, and they were enjoyable. But overall, the show was a disappointment, and... More
