First off, this is a great place to rent a kayak, then come back famished and have true Mexican food. The Paddle Club will outfit you with everything you need to get out on the water. Lake Union is one direction, the Montlake Cut (canal) and Portage Bay is the other. They will teach you the basics of paddling and... More

These folks make it really easy to have a good time paddling! Pleasant people, professional service, efficient rental process, equipment in great shape. They have a floating dock that is specially set up to make it easy to get in and out of your boat. Someone is there to help you get in, and when you return, you just hand... More

I looked in many sites about renting a kayak in Seattle. I chose Agua Verda for its proximity to Union Bay Natural Area. The rental club was very efficient and proffesional. The Kayak was in a very good condition. The rowing to Union bay takes about 20 minutes. We rowed into the park. It was breath taking and beautifull view.... More

They took us out to Aqua Verde a very authentic Mexican Restaurant. The location was perfect, right on the water of Union Bay. It was very busy even though we got there early. We had to wait for a table but around the side there was a little tent with a couple playing music and a woman dancing. We were... More

Great way to spend and hour or two, paddling around Portage Bay and Lake Union. Fun activity and a good value!

My friend invited me to join her and others at Agua Verde to go paddleboarding. I was pretty excited because I have always wanted to try but nervous because it was open water. We went on a sunny September Sunday and parking across the street in the gravel lot was free and I found a spot. Parking in the area... More

Agua Verde is two-faced - in a good way. Innovative Baja del Sur restaurant up top, and kayak rental on the water side. Located on the Ship Canal on Boat Street and surrounded by the University of Washington campus, the food, drinks and view bring locals and visitors back time and again. On rare occasions, I have heard rumblings of... More

A bunch of friends and I rented kayaks from Agua Verde and paddled down to Gasworks Park. The price is reasonable, and so long as you stick to the sides, you shouldn't have any problems with other boats. There are several options for kayaks: one person - stable, one person - maneuverable, and two person. A lovely way to see... More

I rented a 2 person Kayak and took my 5-year-old out on Portage Bay about an hour before sunset. This is my fondest memory of my recent Seattle trip. I recommend bringing a waterproof camera (I think I saw some disposable waterproof cameras for sale in the rental giftshop) because you will want photos to remember this. If you paddle... More

Easy to find in the U-District. Food is fresh, upscale Mexican, and yummy! The views are incredible of the water way.
