The original Starbucks is... wait for it... just like every other Starbucks. Be prepared to wait in a ridiculously long line to buy the same overpriced coffee available anywhere else. Unless this is a bucket list item, spend your time in Seattle doing something else. The city has much to offer and coffee is available on every corner.

I didn't even know this place existed until one of my dad's friends recommended we should visit it! It is Seattle where Starbucks originated. It's history and a place where you can go overboard with "ORIGINAL" souvenirs memorabilia. We bought their Fourbucks and took alot of pictures and plenty of original souvenirs that you can only purchase here. Enough said!

Situated right across the street from Pike's Place, this is a must if you like Starbucks. The line gets really long because of all the tourists, but it's worth it to see where it all started. Try the Pike's Place reserve drip; you can only get it at this one Starbucks, and it's great!

It is basically a store front with the iconic Starbucks icon and signage, etc... on the outside. Inside it is a narrow place to line up (if there's a line) At night, at 9pm, there was only a few people in line. The SB employees are used to people buying 'stuff' rather than coffee, so they have a list of... More

Tech. the first one burned down and this one was built, but regardless it's a must see for any Starbucks fan. Nothing terribly impressive, but you can get some nice limited items only found at this starbucks, which was really cool.

Despite what they say, this is NOT the original and first Starbucks. They claim it is, the original does not exist anymore - as long as you are aware of this fact, it is like a Starbucks with darker, more historic-looking design. Either they want you to believe it is the first and original, or the many tourists did indeed... More

Why not??? Its the first ever! Great location in the heart of tourist attraction Pike's Place and market. Small charming little shop, staff were welcoming, friendly, hospitable, and sweet. Great little souvenir cups, coffees, and one of a kind items. Be warned, lines can be long. I was there during a "slower" time and had about a 15 min wait.... More

We wanted to see the Starbucks original store and we were not disappointed. Glad to see they have not modernized it since opening. Nice to visit.
