Where it all started

Cool to see where Starbucks started. The prices seemed the same as back at home but cool merchandise that is specific to that store. Line was a little long but it moved fast

I was living right opposite this place at the Green Tortoise Hostel as I was attending the Specialty Coffee Association of America Symposium. It was great to see the whole Specialty Coffee Revolution started here. I also visited the Starbucks Roastery up pike st and the Starbucks Kent Flex Plant. It was amazing experience.

This is absolutely not about the coffee but about how a giant was born. As a small business owner, it is important for me and my friends (we were a group of entrepreneurs visiting Seattle for a business course) to really experience the first Starbucks. Of course, the line was long and it was cold, but it was worth it.... More

We had to visit on a recent family visit to Pike Place and get coffee from the very first Starbucks. This location is very, very busy with its prime location close to the market and other tourist attractions, but they do a great job of getting coffee drinks out quickly. Great ambiance, fantastic spot, and agreat people watching spot if... More

Come early as this original Starbucks gets very crowded into the day, probably the crowdest SB I've been to. Nice to say I've been to where it started.

The "original" is about it. This place is nuts. I have never seen so many people taking pictures with mugs and bags of coffee. They do offer some souvenirs that are only available at this location, which is pretty cool. The coffee line can be insane. If you want to avoid the crowd you better go early, and I mean... More

Loved the novelty of seeing the first starbucks store but other then that and some exclusive merch everything else is pretty much the same as the regular stores. I have a full review up on the blog its combined with other popular spots like prioshky piroshky and the crumpet shop! https://dreaminginfoisgras.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/pike-place-market-pt-2-seattle/

I visited this place while at a conference in Seattle. It is definitely a must-see if you are a slave to Starbucks coffee. The place is very busy, so be prepared for a wait though it was only about 20 minutes total. It is very unique with the original logo. Coffee is the same as any other Starbucks, but you... More
