As a resident of Seattle and surrounding communities for the past 62 years, I would like to warn all tourists that this is not a real place. It is a fake. This is not the original Starbucks Coffee & Tea, it "is" the first corporate store. The original store that started it all does not exist any more. The company,... More

It was great to see where it all started, but the Pike Place special reserve wasn't worth the wait ... just go around the corner to the Starbucks across from the Pike Market (on 1st) and get your coffee there ... its exactly the same without the wait.

If you're a Starbucks fan like me - I'm writing this from Starbucks, even - you owe it to yourself to see where it all started. The menu is largely the same as what you have at home, but the decor and vibe is unique, and of course, there's a Pike Place mug that's only sold here. If you're environmentally-conscious,... More

This is nothing more than a gift shop with coffee. You better know what you want when it's your turn because they need to rush you out of there as it is very crowded.

When in Seattle what is the one thing you should do, see the original Starbucks. Enjoyable view of the old fashioned very first Starbucks that gives you that authentic experience. However, a word of warning…….. The cues are long, very long, even to buy a mug. Maybe a separate line for coffee drinks and merchandise purchasers? On top of that,... More

you couldn't sit down and enjoy the place, it was just a service and out....adorned with boxes and cups [i guess to replicate the original layout] it seems a little flat. Pop your head in though

Worth a stop if the line up is not out the door. Went late morning and it was under 10 min wait. Some one-of-a-kind cups/mugs that you may not get elsewhere easily but coffee is still the same. Was difficult to decide what to buy when you are standing alone in line and cannot check the wares. Once you come... More

It's something you have to do when being a tourist in Seattle.....visit the original Starbucks! A colleague of mine went earlier in the day and the line was out the door and down the street. We went circa 8pm and it was fairly quite. As well as all the usual coffee, you can also get all sorts of souvenirs. The... More

Amazing visit to the original place! Food and coffee were of course amazing... And it would t have been better if the cashiers attitude wasn't so sour. "Freya" snapped at me when I offered to give her a few cents over so she could give me a ten spot back, not 9.92.... She said the "drawer already calculated it- I... More
