The most popular is the Market Ghost Tour which was established in 2004. Named one of the Top Ten US Ghost Tours by tripavisor 2009 & 2010, the skeptic and believer can enjoy this exterior walking tour of Pike Place Market because it is rooted in history. Our emphasis is on storytelling. We also have the Seattle Lust Tour (over 18) mixing stories of sex and death together, sharing the secrets of First Avenue and why it was nicknamed Flesh Avenue. We offer the Mortuary Chapel Tour, which goes inside the Butterworth Mortuary during the summer and fall. During the day we have a 60 minute history tour focused on the merchants in the Market. The Pike Place Market is a nine acre district with over 400 residents as well as businesses. It also includes the city's first mortuary, part of an old graveyard, and a brothel that still has a red glow cast on its side. Leave the high heels at home because some of the streets are cobblestones. We encourage you to bring your cameras to try and capture phenomena and also to take some beautiful pictures of the neon and theatrical architecture in the Market. Find us at our espresso bar and shop at 1499 Post Alley, just before the Gum Wall! « less

My husband and I were in Seattle last Saturday 03/16/13. My husband is a skeptic and I wanted him to have a little bit of feeling of what's it like to see and feel the energy of the ghosts. I had a lot of experiences before in my old house so I know how it feels to be scared. I... More

My sister and I were leaving from Seattle for a cruise to Alaska and I sent an email to Market Ghost Tours asking if we could get a short educational/historical tour of Pike Place Market. Mercedes, the owner, quickly responded and offered us a tour that met our schedule! Mercedes gave us the tour herself which lasted about an hour.... More

This is the second time that my husband and I have taken friends/family up to Seattle to go on the tour and it will not be the last. We went on a 7pm Saturday tour with a fairly large group (I think about 15). The historical data is facinating, the jokes are fun and the stories are spooky. Jim was... More

We are hometown tourists who were looking for a fun Saturday night adventure. Departing from the standard "dinner and a movie", we booked the Ghost Tour and had our 14 year old daughter actually thrilled with the idea!!! Who knew? The tour was extremely fun! It appealed to my engineer husband who loved the historical facts, my 14 year old... More

My friends and I decided to go on the Pike Market Ghost tour during our time in Seattle. I liked this tour but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. I prefer more facts than fiction. However, I did learn a lot about the area and it was interesting. I just could have done without the theatrics. Our guide was... More

We joined up on the Market Ghost Tour in August and had an EPIC time! Jim was so cool, knowledgeable, and friendly. Not only was the tour interesting on a spectral scale, but there was also a ton of historical information that we both previously had no idea about. We decided to go back in November for the same tour... More

Skeptical or annoyed by anything 'ghost'? Don't let this tour fool you. Yes, there is history on the dead, but it also highlights the vast and very unique local history of the people while they were living. Seattle history was rooted in salacious and seedy environments, but that makes it the more interesting. Juxtaposed with the lumber industry and gold... More
