The area between Pike and Pine street has the best nightlife in town. Mostly hipster bars, with the most pronounced one Linda's. Expect ot see people dressed up with whatever kind of clothes. If you do not welcome diversity, stay out of here. That is the perfect place for open-minded persons.

Capitol Hill is one of the bigger residential areas in Seattle and right next to Downtown Seattle so it is full of options. There are numerous cafes that like Espresso Vivace, Victrola Coffee and others. Pike/Pine and 12th/15th avenue have lot's of good dining as well. There are a lot of annoying street kids on Broadway in particular, it's best... More

Like most other reviews we also had a great experience of the several different bars and local eateries. This is a very diverse area, everything from people in suit having sushi dinner to homeless asking for change. Great to enjoy some local greenery, that can be delivered, and walk around people watching. We'll probably stay in this area again on... More

I've stayed in hotels in this neighborhood, eaten at restaurants in this neighborhood and it is truly my number one choice to live in my retirement (next to beachfront of course). This entire neighborhood, which I recently visited once again on a "fact finding" mission for my company, is a combination of food, fun, parks, young and old. You can... More

We are from a rural and conservative state, we are AARP eligible. But we have a friend who lives in a condo on the edge of Capitol Hill (which has increased in value greatly over the past 30 years!). This neighborhood can be brash, young, gay, outrageous and great fun. Good places to eat, one of the greatest candy shops... More

On our first visit to Seattle we stayed in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood. Everything is close by, decent supermarkets, a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. Lots of places to walk around, walk into Downtown but remember it is uphill on the way back, so remember a pair of comfortable shoes. The views as you walk in are fantastic,... More

This place is banging. My favourite hangout in Seattle. Loads of cafe, bars, restaurants and shops! Jimi Hendrix statue is here. Linda's Tavern - one of Kurt Cobain's favourite bars. I simply loved it !!

Easy walk from downtown that gives you a new perspective of this great city. We went in the evening and saw such a great variety of restaurants and bars. We ate at a wonderful Mexican restaurant, the barrio

This is definitely a must see. I would rank Capitol as one of the most interesting, diverse, and dynamic urban neighborhoods in the US. Definitely worth a visit and spending some time.
