This is a favorite on my list! With many different bars, shops, sights, my kind of place. Starts right by the Starbucks Reserve, between Pine and Pike

Bars and cool little places to shop, great cupcake place, but the people seem a bit snobbish and don't like you liking their dogs or being polite saying thank you or please. Talk about pretentious people.

Everyone raves about the nightlife in this district, but I actually feel the residential buildings around here are what give this neighborhood character. The hilly streets adorned by flora are reminiscent of San Francisco, but most tourists who visit Capitol Hill come to barhop or eat, which really is all there is to do here. Nonetheless, every tourist should swing... More

We went here for a stroll on a Sunday and don't really know what the fuss is about. It's just a neighborhood with cafe's. Maybe we missed something but we walked up and down Broadway trying to find anything, but left and walked to pike market.

On our trip to Seattle my daughter wanted to go to the Ballard District and to Capitol Hill. We spent the night in Ballard and looked around the neighborhood before going downtown to Pike Place Market and ending up in Capitol Hill. My daughter, who is vegan, found a vegan cafe in Capitol Hill where we had a late lunch.... More

I have been to Capitol Hill many times. I enjoy the variety of vegan food available. There are many cute and cool shops to visit. I could spend days there and not get bored.

Capitol Hill is such a rich area, filled with amazing parks, views of the city center, strange and wonderful people and shops. Amazing little restaurants and cute cupcake places. Perfect area to wander around.

lots of local restaurants to pick from. its also a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area having stayed at the grand hyatt that is in the middle of the city.

Capitol Hill has a diverse population (young, old, gays, students, poor, rich, hip, etc.) and seems to offer something for everyone. Simple homes and apartment buildings stand near elegant mansions. Casual eateries mingle with upscale restaurants, such as Altura, which I recommend for a special occasion. And many bars attract a young crowd at night. My favorite Seattle bakery --... More

Plenty of bars and restaurants but not much else. Not sure why it's rated quite so highly. Plenty of other stuff i'd see in Seattle first
