Lake Washington has supplied the people of this region with a venue for the Gold Cups, for the opening of our boating season for years, and great beach-front living spaces for many. It has wonderful roads around it and offers exceptional parks and places for some fine restaurants. It is one of the largest lakes of its kind in the... More

This is a very large lake that connects to the Puget Sound. Perfect waters for boating. There are many public parks that surround the lake.

Take time out on your visit to Seattle to stroll lakeside. It is gorgeous and relaxing. Bring your car to the Mount Baker side and park up and then walk, take in Seward Park, and enjoy! It's a huge lake and lots of people are pottering around and relaxing. Take a break from the city!

This lake is HUGE. And probably pretty cold. You can rent a canoe or kyak near Husky Stadium and explore a bit. There are many boats, small and large on the lake. Bald eagles hang out her sometimes too. What can I say, a lake is the place to be and have fun during the summer.

A trip to Seattle is incomplete without seeing at least some portion of Lake Washington, which nestles all along Seattle's eastern boundary. Lovely homes, many parks, various restaurants & shops as well as residential areas along the shore. The Lake Washington Boulevard's drive along the water is not to be missed. SeaFair racing happens here! Sailboating & watercraft, like canoeing... More

Lake Washington is a beautiful lake with city scape and mountain vistas. From the West shore, you can see Mount Ranier (to the South) and Mount Baker (to the North), the City of Bellevue (to the East), and the expansive bridges crossing the lake. There are some great parks and trails at various places about the shore, which afford the... More

A boat cruise on Lake Washington should be part of any trip to Seattle. Interesting history, beautiful views, and a stop on the east side of the lake gives you a different Puget Sound experience. Kirkland is a happening place with lots of good restaurants and shops. Carillon Point has some restaurants and a hotel with water views.

Glorious views on Mt. Rainier to the south! Watch the hydro planes always the first weekend of August. Lots of parks around the lake, seaplanes to the San Juan Islands, kayaks, canoes ... so much to do!

I used to sail this lake, also kayaked it. They have SeaFair Hydroplane Races here every year during Seafair. Rent a kayak and check it out!
