What a superior museum in every way! Well curated history of the Seattle area from many perspectives of business, technology, culture, and industry. There are fascinating quirky displays such as antique ship bow carved painted figures.and an almost amusing special effects diorama of the great fire that burned down 34 blocks of downtown. the 4-5 short films are good too.... My family and I relocated to Seattle. It is hard to feel connected to a new city. This is a wonderful place to start. This is a good sized museum so it took us a few of hours to get through it. I was there with another adult. I saw small kids but by lunch time they were due for... More

They have everything here from hydroplanes to Wunda Wunda! As a native Washingtonian, I loved all the displays from the old tv shows that were produced in Seattle for kids. But there are many other displays that out of towners would enjoy. Please note that if you go on the free admission day, you do not get to see the... More

MOHAI is a wonderful exposition of the history of Seattle. A look at the many ways the people have overcome hardship to build a lively and thriving modern city. Highly recommended.

This was a great museum that did a great job of explaining the history of Seattle. It was almost too much for just one quick trip! What feels like thousands of artifacts, a couple movies, and tons of interactive exhibits! Don't forget to swing a hammer at the railroad!

Probably the best place to get a comprehensive history of early Seattle in a historic setting. Outstanding detail of people and events that occurred in the early settling of Seattle and the surrounding area.

It is an interesting place, I like bigger museums but this one has interesting pieces despite of its size. It is something to do while walking around. Parking is not too close so if it is raining (it is Seattle) make sure that you don't forget your umbrella

This was my first visit to MOHAI since they moved a couple years back. When they were in their old location, they were a favorite stop for me as a kid. I literally couldn't get enough of the place (in particular, they had a model port with working cranes to load and unload boats). Their new location is excellent and... More

This museum is informative and lots of fun. There are interactive exhibits, and well written and curated exhibits. Every city should have a museum this good!

A new museum located in the Lake Union neighborhood. A large collection of technology and industry displays from the history of Seattle. I usually do not see Seattle as the tech powerhouse it is but this will open your eyes to that fact. There is a Microsoft room as well as a travelling display on Prohibition. This museum has the...
