The Zoo is beautiful with winding trails and even a rose garden. There is a restored carousel, too. The animals are well cared for in wonderful spaces. Get a map so you don't get lost! If you have children, be sure and stop in to feed the birds.

The grounds of this zoo are beautiful and the exhibits are both educational and entertaining. Coupled with perfect weather, we spent all day enjoying the animals including the feeding experience for the elephants and giraffes. The elephant feeding isn't exactly worth $5, as you basically just hold out a bamboo stick with leaves and have very little interaction. The giraffe... More

Went there with my 20 y.o son , who had never been to a zoo. It was killer hot that day, so most animals were hiding/sleeping. Saw a paw of a lion! Etc. However, I would not wish the zoo to be any different, the enclosures should be as they are, allowing the animals to hide and be full of... More

My wife and I had some time to kill before checking into our place in Fremont. Coming from Chicago and Brookfield Zoo, it's hard to be impressed by zoos in other cities and I have to say Woodland Park has a great Zoo. It's not as big as Brookfield and I don't think the facilities are as nice, but Woodland... More

Woodland park is wonderful place for any occasion, Seattle's everyday Disney. The park has a variety of animals , ecosystems, and related educational material. It has sections ranging from African savanna to tundra and everything in between. The penguins are the main act, they are lovely , cute, and most kids get attached to them. The park is in Fremont... Amazing collection here. Loved the mixed exhibit with African animals. The wolves were on-point, saying hello to all the visitors.

What a beautiful zoo! This zoo is unique in a few ways. One - it is right off the highway and easy to get to - seems like it is almost in the middle of the city, at other zoos it seems like you have to drive a far distance to the edge of a town. Two - the layout... More

We took our 2 yr old granddaughter to the zoo last week. First time in years I've been there. There have been a lot of changes most for the good of the animals. They are now housed in habitats rather than obvious cages. Free to roam. The African Savannah actually reminded me of Africa. The animals looked healthy and we... More

I am a member of the zoo and I visit monthly. The zoo has great animals, but not enough variety. There is so much open space not used for what the purpose of a zoo is. all the exhibits are dated and not quite up to par based on modern standards. The animals seem happy and well cared for, but... We visited here using the city pass and it was a wonderful decision. It was a great way to escape the crowds of downtown Seattle for a while. We were staying in a hotel by the space needle and just took a bus to the zoo. It was super easy and affordable. This was a lovely zoo with a lot... More
