This zoo has a little of everything: Asian, North American, South American, and African animals. Highlights include elephants, penguins, meerkats, Komodo dragon, and giraffe. This summer the zoo is hosting 2 cheetahs and demonstrate their hunting skills with a "cheetah chase" where they run a lure through some pulleys for these fast cats to chase. They are rewarded with food... More

This zoo has it all - well kept, amazing variety of animals, and excellent viewing for the children to be able to see and learn. We were there 3 hours with our 2 kids (3 & 5) and weren't able to see the entire park as they got tired. We will definitely be back.

Visited this zoo on a rainy Saturday. Still lots of fun! Nice pathways, just a bit muddy in the rain so come prepared with boots! Good variety of exhibits, penguins are a highlight. Fun kids play area and vintage carousal. Good variety of food in the Food Pavilion as well.

The park-like setting was a surprise! So many zoos tend to be "cagey"... There were many double door enclosures to the aviary exhibits. The penguins were fun. There was a farm area. We were there during summer, so there was a lot of kids doing their 'zoo camps' as well as other groups coming in for zoo-day or animal-week adventures.... More

We make a point of visiting the zoos wherever we travel, and I have to say that Woodland Park is one of my favorites. We had a beautiful afternoon and no crowds. The park is so well done as there are very few large expanses of pavement; paths wind through the exhibits with viewing nooks that offer a variety of... More

My family loves zoos and we’ve visited them all over the USA – this zoo is hands-down the best I’ve ever seen. The exhibits are professionally designed. Every habitat gave a realistic picture of how the animal lives in the wild, what kinds of flora, rock, and water features the animal would naturally interact with. At the same time, it... More

Moved to Seattle area in1990. Had small children then and came often to the zoo. I now have Grandkids and have given their family gifts as members. They go to the zoo at least once a month and enjoy it immensely.

The zoo is well layed out there is a flat fee of $5.75 to park so you can spend many hours which I recommend a whole day at least. The area for the animals are huge and there is lots to look at. Everything is paved and everything layed out well. we spent 5 hours and I felt was well... More

My wife and I love zoo's. This was our 1st trip here and we truly enjoyed coming here. We feel Woodland is better then the zoo in AZ (last years vacation). I thought it was well planned out. Would I come here again? Yes, I would. Great place for kids also.
