Small but well maintained zoo

A lovely quiet place to be away from city hub bub. Nice animals and well organized sections. Excellent seafood chowder at food stand.

I would skip this zoo if you actually want to see animals. Head over to the Tacoma zoo instead, its beautiful.

have visited for years and they continue to improve. it is disappointing that the spaces have become underutilized, but much of it is due to budget constraints. eveything that gets closed and rebuilt is spectacular. Losing the elephants was hard, but the resulting empty space allows for some great future expansion. There is plenty to do on a rainy day,... More

It is a small zoo, but worth it. You could make a day out of it. We were able to see everything in three hours and that is pushing it a bit. We were able to talk to zoo personal and learn many thing. For my niece, feeding the giraffes, the parrot and seeing the tigers were her highlights.

Great place to spend a day! Small enough for little kids to see everything! Big enough to cover the globe. Nice layout. (Check Groupon for price breaks.)

The zoo is clean and the animals have a lot of room to roam which I like. However, we saw very few animals which was disappointing. There were a ton of kids, school groups and mom groups roaming. For $5.00 per person you can feed the giraffes which looked fun. We didn't get to do this because the line was... More

Very nice zoo, 2 pre-teens loved it. Shaded in a lot of places, so it does not get too hot. Nice habits. Great selection of animals.

I came here with my brother and sister-in-law. We had so much fun at the zoo. It was great to try and find the animals and we found almost all of them. There were a couple we couldn't find. We were there for about 3 hours. It was bigger than I thought it was going to be. The animals were... More

We took our 15 yr old granddaughter the 2nd week in Aug. She lives a few blocks from the Zoo but had not been in a couple of years. She probably will not go back for at least that long. It is quite small and the exhibits and pathways appear to be not very well kept up. The vegetation needs... More

We only went to this zoo since it was included on the Seattle Citypass and we had a free afternoon. It was good for a couple hours. There are a lot of birds at this zoo if you like that. The lion was sleeping--the hippo, penguins, and gorillas were most active. The paths are nicely shaded (was a sunny day).... More
