We took our 2 yr old granddaughter to the zoo last week. First time in years I've been there. There have been a lot of changes most for the good of the animals. They are now housed in habitats rather than obvious cages. Free to roam. The African Savannah actually reminded me of Africa. The animals looked healthy and we... More

I am a member of the zoo and I visit monthly. The zoo has great animals, but not enough variety. There is so much open space not used for what the purpose of a zoo is. all the exhibits are dated and not quite up to par based on modern standards. The animals seem happy and well cared for, but... We visited here using the city pass and it was a wonderful decision. It was a great way to escape the crowds of downtown Seattle for a while. We were staying in a hotel by the space needle and just took a bus to the zoo. It was super easy and affordable. This was a lovely zoo with a lot... More

It has been many years since I visited the Woodland Park Zoo and I was really impressed. This zoo is really worth visiting. Interesting animals in open areas. We especially enjoyed the zebras and giraffes. The otter exhibit is great and the Grizzly Bear was magnificient to watch. If you have younger members touring with you, I would bring a... More

This is a large zoo in the city. They have a large collection of animals including giraffe, rhino, hippo, zebra, elephants, lion, komodo dragons ("infants"), bears, penguins to name a few. Good variety of birds. Good segmentation by geography. Good info on displays. Animals seem to be well cared for. Seems to be able to handle poor weather as many... More

It is a nice zoo, very large with a lot of animals. Places to eat, buy stuff. Lots of different areas. It is a big place, you will do a lot of walking. We tried to go on a Sunday, could not find a parking spot. The lots are scattered and it is in a residential area and the streets... More

Every state and country we visit, it is on the top of our list to visit their local zoo. We have visited numerous zoo's around the US and Europe and we were amazed by the Woodland Park Zoo and how it compares to others. As far as zoo's in the US, this one takes the cake. The exhibits are so... More

My grandchildren enjoyed the day immensly and I would recommend this park to anyone wanting a fun place to take children and adults alike.

The zoo was very nice. Very green with lots of trees and plants as well as many animals. My husband and I had a enjoyable time just walking through and seeing what we could see.

What a pleasant surprise. We did not expect so many different animals. The facility is well planned out. We all had a great time.
