I went to the Woodland Park Zoo in late August and can definitely say I have seen many better zoos in my life. I'm not sure if it was the timing of day/week or year but I found that I saw more plants than animals. The plants that I did see were wilting or looked more like weeds, and it... More

We love taking our little one to this zoo. It has unbelievably large area, given that it is in the heart of the city and hence we have never once managed to see the park in entirety. Usually for places this big I watch out for two things - Parking and a place to rest. Good news is that this... More

Wear good walking shoes, the trails meander around the vast park, best to go late morning when the animals, which are uncaged, are moving about. The gorilla families and the orang-outang are in a wonderfully realistic exhibits.

Great zoo. Ample space and lots of animals to see. For $5, you can feed the animals. When we were here we saw lots of kids with their parents, but I could also see it as a place for adults to go. Allot 3 hours or so in order to be able to see everything.

I had read good things about Woodland Park Zoo so on a trip to Seattle we decided to go there. The zoo is large and will take quite some time to walk around. The animals sanctuaries are quite nice compared to some zoos I have been to, large and well designed, and they all seemed pretty happy. The array of... More

This zoo is fantastic. We really had a great time.. the exhibits are wonderful. And the price is quite reasonable. We made the trip down from Vancouver BC especially to visit this zoo because the other reviews were so great.. and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend a visit.

This is a fantastic zoo! It was so much fun, beautiful and you get up close and personal with the animals. We got to feed giraffes for $5 USD. It was such an awesome experience. Great shows around throughout the day as well. We went to see this with the City Pass.

Having been born in Seattle and a resident of the neighborhood a trip to the Woodland Park Zoo was always a treat. Of course, it was free in those days (10 cents to get into the petting zoo) but even now, the $13.50 adult admission doesn't seem that bad (it costs more to go up the Space Needle). So this... More

We visited the Woodland Park Zoo for the holidays to enjoy their lights display called ZooLights. This is a separate visit from their normal daily hours (you have to leave and come back later) and a separate entrance fee. There are thousands of lights along paths through a portion of the zoo grounds. The reptile house and the Komodo Dragon... More
