This is THE worst zoo I have ever been to. Do not go. We were there for one hour and about the only thing we saw were crows. Skip it!

I enjoyed the visit to the zoo. They have a lot of very nice exhibits with a good variety of animals. The orginization can be a little tough to navigate but the map and park employees can help with that. I highly recommend the city pass if you're visiting other attractions innthe area.

This is a good, average zoo. They have some great attractions (the grizzly bears, for example), but the enclosures for some animals were too small and we felt sorry for those animals. Other enclosures seemed over-sized for the animals. So we were puzzled. Park seems clean and lunch food is fine, but expensive. Lots of kids there the day we... More

This zoo is well laid out and has lots of fun places for kids to explore. The exhibits are attractive and natural in layout but maximize your ability to see the animals. For a major city zoo, it's quite reasonably priced too. I would return.

Woodland Park Zoo is such great fun for the family. The hard part is that the animals are unpredictable and you don't know when they'll be sleeping. I wish there were more viewing areas--maybe from above? Otherwise, we loved the variety of animals available to see. It's so fun knowing that you are in the middle of a big city... More

Stood in the downtown Seattle area and it was very simple to get to. Take the number 5 bus and it drops you off right in front. Had the buy 1 get 1 free from the entertainment book so it was about $10 each for the both of us. Which is fairly cheap considering my zoo in Chicago (Brookfield) $16... More

We stayed very near the zoo at a great B&B. The zoo is clean, modern and very pleasant. Some animals weren't cooperating that day (Reminded me of the original Jurassic Park "You do have Dinosaurs in your park?") But many did and the display areas were great. There are geocaches in the park so check them out as well.

Went there with my 15 year old daughter on our four day sojourn to Seattle. Dont go on a Tuesday so you can feed the giraffes. It's an extra five bucks but worth it. Go to the bird house and feed the birds It is definitely fun, just dont look up ;-)

We went with two young ones, and were pleasantly surprised by how well the zoo is organised and laid out. There are well marked trails, with food and restroom stops along the way. All stroller or wheelchair friendly. The interactive programs are the best - feeding the birds and the giraffes is a big hit, as was the tiger sensory... More

I had once thought this was a pretty nice zoo. However, I'm disappointed in the poor care of the elephants at the zoo. After much pressure from local animal welfare groups, they decided to close the elephant exhibit. At that time, they had an opportunity to send the elephants (Chai and Bamboo) to a sanctuary, but instead shipped them to... More
