Bought a seattle pass that is great value and chose the zoo option. Got the no5 bus to the front gate of the zoo. The zoo is well laid out and the enclosures are quite big. There is a wide variety of animals and you should set aside at least 3 hours to see it all

Purchased Seattle CityPasses for the family and the Woodland Park Zoo was an option (choose either the Zoo or Museum of Flight). Museum of Flight is free every Thursday of the month so we were able to see it free... so used our CityPasses for the zoo. Took us about 3 hours. It's fairly big compared to our Honolulu Zoo.... Two families (kids ages 13, 11, 9) visited this zoo together. It doesn't hurt that the weather was beautiful, but we also had a great day. There is an amazing variety of exhibits at this zoo, including a petting zoo, insects, large animals, orang utans and other apes/monkeys/simians, lion cubs, penguins, raptors...and on and on. We watched the penguin demonstration/talk... More

We just spent a pleasant day at this zoo. I hadnt been in over 20 years so it was a totally different place. The animals used to be in rock or glass enclosures but now they are in field type environments. Not all animals were clearly visable but I am willing to accept that to get them out of cages.... More

We are from Calgary, Alberta and we know what a good zoo can be. We are very proud of the Calgary Zoo. We did not know what to expect from the Woodland Zoo. It was a beautiful day, not raining and not too hot. It was a perfect day for the zoo. We found that this is the most beautiful,... More

Woodland Park is a primo zoo, not only because of the marvelous variety of birds and animals from around the world, but also because the animals are kept under humane conditions including ample natural habitat. There are special attractions for the little guys, and fabulous exhibits for all ages. Staff are well-informed and extremely helpful. This is just an all... More

I love zoos. I would say that in most of the places I travel at some point I think "I wonder what kind of zoo they have"? I was really pleasantly surprised at this zoo. The habitat for each animal is so well done. The animals have a lot of space and it looks like an area that would make... More

Very nice Zoo. My family and I visited this zoo for the first time and it was overall pretty good. Multiple bird houses, wolves, nice penguin display and beautiful jaguars. Only complaint was that finding a parking spot was a little hectic. Good thing was that it was only $5.25 for the entire day.

I love this zoo. There is a great ambiance overall. I particularly like catching the penguin feeding time. The exhibit lets you see what's going on underwater and they get so frolicsome right before feeding time. I also love the snow leopard exhibit and the walk through is really relaxing.

This was a lovely surprise! A perfect day with so many active animals on exhibit. The lion cubs were so entertaining as were the giraffe's that were running around. We really had a great day visiting. The weather was perfect and there were only a few exhibits where we could not see animals. The only negative during our visit was... More
