Didn't realize what a wonderful zoo Seattle has. It is big and has many animals, I hadn't seen before. Park has a lot of shade and convenient shops for food and benches when you just needed to sit down because it is so big. Loved the zoo!

I like zoos, and there were some things I generally enjoyed seeing (the orangutang who made his own bed was awesome). I've never been that close to penguins before so seeing that right at the entrance was neat. Interesting to put the hippos in with other creatures, don't think I've seen a zoo do that. Good: The grounds were very... More

Good? The zoo has some really nice grounds and is laid out very nicely. It is clean and a comfortable environment (for humans). There are some exhibits that mimic the natural habitat pretty well. Animals are not in actual cages. Bad? It is pretty heartbreaking. There are some animals that just look completely defeated. All of them look bored out... More

We only had a morning to visit but it was worth the trip. The parking lot was a little confusing and cost to park but we got it figured out in no time. The line moved quickly getting into the zoo and the price was reasonable. We fed giraffes (for $5 extra) and it was interesting hearing the presentation that... More

I enjoyed going to this zoo. Had some really interesting exhibits. I typically try and visit whatever zoo of whatever city I go to, and I have to say I was pretty impressed with this one. It did rain a little too much though. On a sunny day it would be better, but hey, what can you expect when you're... More

We did not have a car while visiting Seattle, so we took the bus here, which conveniently drops off right outside the zoo gates. We came later in the day with a few hours til close and we were able to see mostly everything. Admission price is reasonable. The zoo is maintained very well and the grounds are beautiful. They... Based on their map, practically saw each animal / habitat. Except unable to locate / find / see Elephants (not sure how one could miss this). Do have to pay for parking. And if looking to feed / chat about animals / habitat then you will need a bit more time. We only spent about 4 hours at zoo and... More

It's a great way to spend two hours walking around this marvelous zoo with almost 300 animals in their natural habitat. Giraffes and hippos, zebras and elephants. You can walk into a covered area with birds flying all over you. It's well worth the experience.

Parking is almost $6 and it was expensive to get in even though it was not a weekend and near the end of day. The food there was awful. They had a sign in front of the brownies saying gluten free but they weren't. Lots of the pens seemed empty or only had one or two lonely animals. I felt... More

My wife and I drove to Seattle to visit the Woodland Park Zoo as we had heard great things about it. We found street parking nearby and used our a 2 for 1 coupon out of the entertainment book so that made it really reasonable. Total price for 2- $18. The zoo is older so it has some beautiful well...
