I have seen everything from a pod of orca whales to a seal pup left on shore while its mom was out hunting. The walks go many many miles, I can walk or blade. Best of all are the days with my 4 year old grandson, discovering hermit crabs and skipping rocks. We are so lucky to have this space.

We came here on a Sunday morning just before catching our flight home. The beach was deserted, and though the views of Puget Sound and the Seattle Skyline was nice, the area itself, not so nice. Garbage everywhere, the washrooms were filthy (like literally poo on the floor filthy)- we were appalled... After exploring the rest of the city, I... More

Love walking here during winter; you get to really enjoy the beach with a few locals and visitors at the beach park. This beach gets overly crowded during summer season because of all the activity. If you happen to be in town come and visit.

A great little beach, with an esplanade running right the way around the point. There are plenty of bike hire places that will rent you single, tandem and 4 person bikes so that the family can peddle their way around to the other side of the point and look across to Seattle and the Space Needle. There are also plenty... More

I used to live in Seattle and Alki is my absolute favorite place to watch the sunset over the water and the lights of the city to turn on.

It's a beautiful stretch of walk way - great for rollerblading too, but the smoking and the grunge factor is pretty annoying. Wish they'd clean up some of the restaurants as well, it could be a key destination.

When there is a break in the rainy weather I like to head to Alki Beach for a walk along the water. Views of Seattle and out into Puget Sound are always interesting. Stop for something to nibble on or have a great meal at a number of good restaurants, depending on what you are in the mood for!

It's very good to take pictures with blue water and sky around in golden hours of day (after sunset). I like it so much!! However, it is always cold here. Please remember to bring your jacket here.
