We met up with a friend at Alki Beach. Parking can be tough; luckily we found some street parking around 59th/Alki. It can be pretty packed during the weekend; when we went, there were a bunch of volleyball games and some people salsa dancing.

Took the ferry to west Seattle and the free shuttle bus to Alki Beach. With nice weather a great afternoon break. It is a very laid back place in a beautiful surrounding.

Alki Beach Park has great views of Seattle. The beach is very pleasant and walkable. Lots of places for food and drink. Well worth a couple of hours.

I heard Alki Beach was hands down, the best beach in Seattle, which was... cute... in my opinion. I grew up on east coast beaches, so take that as you will. The positives outweigh the negatives, but I think it's best to understand what you're in for. If you think you're going to lie on the beautiful white sand and... More

Great place to walk, ride a bike, skate, walk a dog or hang out at the beach and watch the sunset. We were visiting family here. It's a bit busy for driving along to get anywhere, unless you know a shortcut and parking is sparse. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee houses to choose from. It was hopping....lots... We took the watertaxi to West Seattle and the free shuttle bus to Alki Beach. Cute little enclave of restaurants and shops along the beach with spectacular views of the Seattle waterfront and downtown.

Ok, it's Seattle, so you can't expect a Caribbean like Beach. However, the beach is nice and clean, and the water was very clear. I took the free shuttle to the beach and walked all the way back to the water Taxi. There are plenty of benches and restaurants on the way to rest if you get tired, thirsty or... More

This is the place that my family have to visit every year. Beautiful views, friendly people. We just feel happy every time we visit. We usually spend a few hours at there. Love it.

I took the water taxi from Pier 50 over to West Seattle, then hopped on the free shuttle #775 to Alki Beach, and I was in love! The ride over on the taxi was a treat in itself, where you can sit inside, outside, or stand at the front for the ten minute ride across. Good to check when the... More
