Good view of Seattle Skyline and space needle. In summer place is very pleasant and crowded during the day . You can see lot of birds there sometimes there are seals too. Close to beach there are lots of restaurants and places to eat. Overall its a great fun place.

We took the water taxi from the pier and then caught a shuttle to bakery nouveau. After picking up some baked goods we caught another shuttle to enjoy them on Alki beach. Interesting side trip while we were in Seattle and a nice little beach. Views across the sound of the Seattle skyline are amazing. Views from the water taxi... More

You will be forgiven if you forget that you're still in Seattle. Alki Beach does not look or feel like the rest of the city. (in a good way) In the summer it gets very busy. But a visit in the middle of winter on a sunny day is still great. Rollerblading along the water is lots of fun.

The short version: a clean beach, seal sighting, great views, and lots of places to eat make this trip worthwhile. The long version: My wife and I recently moved to Seattle, and decided to try this beach based on recommendations from two different sources. We parked along the main beach front (for free) with ease, and just got out and... More

Nice and warm. The water was not that clean however the sand was warm and the beach lively. It is easy to find a parking space and a nice place to eat. Relaxing

We rented a wonderful vacation home on Alki Beach. Alki Beach is across Elliott Bay from downtown Seattle. We loved the beach, the neighborhood restaurants and the close proximity to downtown Seattle. This is a great area for biking, jogging and walking along the beach. This was a relaxing and perfect family vacation spot.

Go for a short hike in the woods, & then when you're tired, grab your chair or blanket & crash on the beach. There are a lot of beaches around King County, WA. Alki is possibly the only public beach not littered with massive stones, endless gravel, & oversized driftwood, & this means you probably shouldn't expect any amount of... More

Don't miss the best views of Seattle! We drove around this oceanside street, both the east and weat sides, twice - because we enjoyed it so much the first time. We enjoyed lunch at a place across the street and then my husband was fascinated by the ospreys diving for fish in the water. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute in... More

Fun trip to West Seattle to see Alki Beach and have dinner. The beach was very busy, and looked clean and safe. We also went around the tip of the peninsula to see the other side beach. It was rocky, quieter and still a beautiful view at the outer islands around Seattle.

On a nice day, it was wonderful to walk around. Not the prettiest beach but great boardwalk and awesome view of downtown Seattle. Be sure to stop in at Spud's Fish and Chips! Delicious! The water taxi is a fun way to get across the Sound as well.
