Young, clean, well organised, beautiful beach. You can practice many different sports, there's always something happening during the day. There are very good restaurants all around. The place itself is just gorgeous. Sunrise and sunset are mind-blowing. My morning run during my two weeks in Seattle was so much better than usual.

Difficult to get to on the West Seattle bridge so consider taking the water taxi over. From Salty's for brunch to the many restaurants on Alki itself including Cactus there, Alki is a must see on a few day trip to Seattle. In the summer its sandy beaches and outdoor volleyball nets draw a crowd, but it is a great... More

We drove to one end of the beach and spent the evening walking the board walk, wading in the water, watching volleyball and eating dinner at one of the many seafood places finishing up with coffee. A fabulous beach! And what isn't to love about their own mini-Statue of Liberty!

Great place for families at the beach in Seattle. A little more friendly police presence on very busy days could improve the calmness a little

My sister and I visited Alki Beach on a gorgeous summer day and we enjoyed a wonderful walk along the point of several miles. The view is breathtaking. We did not swim - but we saw people doing all types of activites - biking, play volleyball, and swimming. There are several wonderful restaurants. The one thing lacking in this area... More

It's Seattle, so nobody is in the water! We went during the day, took the water taxi across from downtown and then walked about 2 miles to Alki. There were many people laying on the sand and a lovely little path to walk on. There are sweet little restaurants across from the beach. Nice way to spend a late morning... More

out of character for seattle. visit here on a nice day and you will seriously feel like you are on a pierside area of so cal. stroll the sand, swim in the cold water, go to one of the many eateries along the strip, relax and forget about the traffic you will hit getting out of here.

Before the throngs of visitors, Alki Beach was worthy of a score of "Excellent." If you visit during the summer, the crowds are quite heavy, but if you walk the beach in early morning, most often when the sky is a little gray, you can smell the salty air and listen to the gulls speak, while you sip coffee and... Beautiful beach with Seattle skyline view. Not crowded, suitable for run/walking. Restaurants and bars along the road make a great place to sit down and enjoy the view.
