While not a big fan of Southern California it is nice to have a bit of the beach town feel in Seattle. Great bike ride from downtown, spectacular views of downtown and the Olympic Peninsula. Water Taxi from downtown is also a plus. Also great that Dukes is here for a burger/fry/beer fix.

Great views and cool small shops along the way! Water is chilly but was there in winter. Parking isn't all that great so be ready to walk a bit.

It was a little windy during our visit - but the sky was clear and sun was out. The views of Seattle skyline and Olympic National Parks in the screen was just breathtaking- we r definitely going back. Not much of a beac though and lots of rocks and pebbles. My dog loves it ...

Alki Beach has a great view of Seattle and if you are looking for good food there are cafes along the waterfront as well as up the hill in West Seattle (a great place to visit if you haven't been there though parking can be hard to find during the typical busy hours of the day and evening). Bring your... More

Alki is an in - city resort like treat. Run, walk or bike along the sound while taking in the Seattle skyline. During the summer, lots of beach volleyball. Several weeks ago, a sighting of 3 orca whales but that was a rare occurrence. For the hearty, swimmers brave the 59-58 degree F waters to swim. Plenty of restaurants and... More

Difficult parking, better to get there via public transportation. Bring a picnic or buy food there, eat on the beach, they still allow campfires on the beach, unheard of in a big city. If you don't have the time or money to get to Hawaii, come to Alki Beach. We even brought the grandkids here when they had a 1/2... More

Alki Beach offers a nice sun-bathing spot as well as a beautiful view of Seattle! Swimming is a bit too cold but that depends on what you are used to

Alki Beach is located in West Seattle. And West Seattle is a rather self contained community with limited access from the rest of Seattle. One can take a car across the bridge, or a ferry and a bus. Once in West Seattle, one can enjoy the restaurants on California Ave. One can have a magnificent view of the city. And... More

You will be treated to one of the best views of Seattle skyline. It also has a ok/nice beach and food good places around you. You can also rent out bikes/tandem bikes and ride on the well paved pathway.

A fun place for a walk and plenty of restaurants nearby. This place is busy in the warm weather especially on the weekends because of the great beach. Food choices range from the expected seafood to an Irish pub to good breakfast places. Plus of course coffee. You can rent a peddle cart too. The view across the water is... More
