When there is a break in the rainy weather I like to head to Alki Beach for a walk along the water. Views of Seattle and out into Puget Sound are always interesting. Stop for something to nibble on or have a great meal at a number of good restaurants, depending on what you are in the mood for!

It's very good to take pictures with blue water and sky around in golden hours of day (after sunset). I like it so much!! However, it is always cold here. Please remember to bring your jacket here.

Best beach-- always crowded, beauty, watch ferries and tankers go by, eat at SPUD fish and chips, play in the sand, picnic, feed the seagulls and pigeons your fries, or ride bikes/rollerblade. One of my favorite places in Seattle.

Parking is awful! Plan ahead and park father away and walk to the beach. The beach isn't wide, but it is long. We went here to watch the sunset and it was amazing! We watched a few ferry's come and go across the sound and watched the night move in (amazing!) then we got this beautiful view of downtown at... More

I love Alki Beach. There is an excellent walking path, plenty of good little restaurants to have a lunch or dinner, and you can take the water taxi from the Seattle Waterfront to make a lively day of it. Gorgeous when weather is great; beautiful even when grey and wet. You can get your feet wet as a side benefit.

If you love walking or roller blading along the beach and enjoying the Seattle skyline in the distance, with ferries sailing by, seagulls flying around and people enjoying it all with you, you have found the place! Great variety of restaurants along the waterfront. Bon fires allowed on the beach too!

I liked the fact that there were outside places to sit and dine and lose yourself in thought at the view of the beach. I liked riding through the surrounding areas and viewing the great houses and waterway.

I came here to visit family and we chilled out here for a whole day . There is a nice place that sells food and drinks also a place to rent kayaks and paddle boards. Spend an amazing day here followed by a group at the end of the beach letting of Chinese laterns. I'll never forget that day.
