Can I give this more than 5 stars? I am a Seattle local and took my mom and her best friend on this tour for a birthday present. We all loved it! Really, it was great. I went to parts of the market I hadn't ever been to, or hadn't been to in years. I learned a ton. The food... More

Great tour and overview of Pike's Market. The guide was exceptional and the tastings great. Not a hard a walk although there are some steps if you have mobility issues.

We picked Seattle Bites out of many options as it had the feel of a small company competing against the more established tours. What fun- our guide was knowledgeable, the bites were substantial, and the tour was well paced through a very busy market.

Myself along with 10 lady friends made reservations for a tour by Seattle Bites. Our Brad Pitt look a like tour guide, Mark, was an extremely knowledgeable historian of the market and a really fun guy :>). He presented all of us with headsets and receivers so we could hear him throughout our fabulous tour. The vendor choices that Mark... More

Thanks Rennae for the review! For those reading this I don't really look like Brad Pitt but Rennae emailed me saying that some of her lady friends had not signed up for the tour so I sent her an email to forward to her friends with a picture of Brad Pitt and said that your tour host "might possibly" look... This behind the scenes tour of Pike Place Market is a must!! I have been to the market many times and had no idea about the rich history. Our guide Virginia was amazing. She has clearly built many relationships with vendors within the market which made the experience that much richer. I have been on many food tours and this... More

Thanks for the praise of Virginia - she is quite special and has an extreme passion for the Market. And I was more than happy to help out with any questions; since we are a small mom-and-pop business I run almost everything including taking all phone calls and I enjoy nothing more than spending time with our guests prior to... With a couple of days to kill in Seattle we thought this would be a fun way to learn more about the city and the market. It was. A 2+ hour walking tour of and around Pike Place Market, it provided interesting background information and color about the local history and the Market's place in the community. Along the way... The food is excellent. There are a wide variety of sample for many different spots in the market. The tour guide was very informative and had a lot of good information but be prepared to be treated like you are in a kindergarten class. Scolded when not standing in the right place or not paying attention. They give you these... More

Robert, Thank you for your feedback. Safety is our first priority with our guests - there have been accidents on the main street that runs through the Market and I ask my hosts to insure our guest's safety at any cost and as a result insist that they keep the groups close together. The organization who runs the Market (The... More

Great tastes from all areas of the market! Be sure to come hungry, lots of different bites and none of them are small! Learn the history of this 100 year old market and why onions are sooooo important to it. Would do it again

I cannot say enough great things about this tour! I have visited Pike Place Market several times over the years and this was the absolute best experience. We had just concluded a week long Alaskan cruise and had two days in Seattle before flying home. Marla was outstanding and provided extensive background about the history and purveyors (past and present).... More

Thanks Diane for the wonderful review. We do recommend a very light snack before the morning tour. Also good to hear that even after a cruise with all that food our food tour samples impressed you - we are known for large, generous portions from merchants not easily found in the Market. Hope we provided a new appreciation for this... More

The Seattle Bites Food Tour was fantastic. And our guide Amy could not have been more delightful and knowledgeable! The tour incorporated so much history about the market area and Seattle into the time -- quite incredible. Amy chose the absolute best "bites" along the way and how nice to not have to wait in any long lines that we... More

Thank you for your appreciation of the places we took you who are not mainstream - their food is incredible yet they often get overlooked because of their location in the Market. And you are right about Amy - we are lucky to have her!! More
