As you roam the subterranean passages that once were the main roadways and first-floor storefronts of old downtown Seattle, our guides regale you with the stories our pioneers didn’t want you to hear. It’s history with a twist! The tour begins inside Doc Maynard’s Public House, a restored 1890s saloon. Following a short intro, we’ll walk through historic Pioneer Square to three different sections of Underground—about three blocks in all... « less

I really looked forward to this tour and it did not disappoint. The tour guide explains the reason for Seattle developing the way it did, the people behind that development in all their quirkiness, and in a length of time (1 1/2 hours) that is perfect. It is not a very physically taxing tour, but if you have trouble with... More

The tour was very interesting on how the city was first built and what happened to it and how it got to look like today. Was amazed that we were actually walking underground on the streets of the original town with the town of nowadays on top.

The tour covers the underground parts of old Seattle. It is very popular and takes place hourly. The tour covers 3 underground streets and the well informed guide gives humorous insights into Seattles infamous past. Would strongly recommend doing this

I recommend going to the evening tour. I went to an afternoon and most of what we heard, I had already heard. The evening tour is the adult only version and was probably more interesting. The tour has fun stories, but there really isn't much to see.

Going on the Underground tour gives you the background of how Seattle was built. The history behind the city and how it became the city it is today is amazing and interesting. Going down the steps into another time and world was amazing. I highly recommend this tour.

Had a great time on the tour. Our guide was informative and funny. Learned a lot about the history of Seattle, so for a nerd like me it was undoubtedly cool. Not a lot of walking but be ready to climb some steep stairs and walk on uneven ground.

Perhaps we just got a dud tour guide, but this was the worst tour of any sort I've ever done. I'm so sorry I asked my boyfriend to do this with me. Our guide was completely crass, making inappropriate jokes and suggestive comments the whole way. It was hard to tell when he was telling us facts because he ended... More

As a history buff it was great to see a side of Seattle that isn't readily noticeable. Great guides give a fact filled and fun tour of the underside of old Seattle. Well worth the $14.00.

We thought this tour was fascinating. The guide was hilarious and kept us laughing. Very cool to walk to three or four spots of the underground city and tour through the tunnels. Lots of stairs and tunnels. Really fun history and we were thoroughly entertained.
