If you are someone who enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes and spices or are new to the world of cooking and just beginning to "find your way" in the kitchen, World Spice Merchants, just below the Pike Street Market, is a fun place to explore and shop. Anyone serious about cooking will tell you, rightly so, that having... More

My husband did have to stand outside because the smell of the store was a little more than he could handle, but I loved walking up and down the aisles of this spice shop. I purchased some curry powder and also wine mulling spices -- not something I thought I'd find here but glad that I did.

I was overwhelmed when I first entered, but a helpful employee made me feel right at home. When she realized that we were tourists and correctly surmised that we couldn't carry much home with us, she handed me a little clipboard so I could take notes. Then she took us on a tour of the shop, inviting us to open... More

This was my first visit to World Spice Merchants and I was delighted!! I went, list in hand, and bought 8 hard to find spices for Indian and African cooking. They have single spices (teas also) or mixed blends from all over the world, and I am particularly excited to try a blend of Arabic Baheret that would have taken... More

I am a nut for spices and food items from the international market and you will find them all here. Spices, Wine, Snacks, Meats, Dishes, and other sundry items line the shelves for your perusing. Enjoy!

Wonderful place if you are into spices and cooking. Their Thai tea was great. Take one whiff and you'll buy some to fix at home. Loads of different curries. Spent a lot of money there. A definite "visit again" next time I am in Seattle.

I went here on our trip to Seattle it was impressive. They grind the spices right there and you can tell they are very fresh. I will be ordering online they have some really good spices and herbs. I am excited I found this gem.

Walking down Western Ave, long before I saw the sign I smelled exotic spices. Following my noise I found World Spice. What an exoerience, what choices...very helpful and friendly staff. If you're looking for a spice you can't get in the usual stores, this is where to go. Thier tea selection is impressive too.

I go here every time I am in Seattle. They have spices that I can not find in other stores. Their mild chili powder and fenegreek spice and the ir great teas are my best buys! I can purchase as much or as little as I need. It is great to get small bags of spices one needs to take... More
