We were exploring West Seattle and wanted to go somewhere to get a view of the city. I thought of the usual waterfront view but he was thinking of another view he recalled hearing about. He searched and found this park. It wasn't very busy even though it was a day off for most, so parking was plentiful. There was... More

Been to Seattle a number of times but never seen it from this side of the bay and the views were great although day was overcast. Get to see all the sights from one vantage point well worth a look if your on this side of the bay.

I attended my niece's wedding which was held at the park. Looking from the parking lot across Elliot Bay was wonderful. It would be worth the trip to West Seattle to see downtown Seattle from this vista.

Drove down from vancouver here for a car meet. There is a beautiful view, friendly park squirrel, and nice landscaping.

Decided to take the $4.50 King County Water Taxi from the ferry terminal over to West Seattle and hike up a small hill to Hamilton Viewpoint Park. Got some great views of the Seattle skyline... and then walked back before the next water taxi across Elliott Bay and mass transit back to my hotel.

If you want to take the best photo of the city, then go Hamilton Viewpoint park in West Seattle. Its absolutely the best place to see the city. The park is about 1 acre and has lots of parking for free. See photos.
