This is a review of the Hall's public tour, which is held about once a month. I can see three reasons to visit a concert hall: (i) to attend a performance (ii) to appreciate its architecture and art (iii) to learn about its inner workings: backstage life, history, etc.. The public tour did not address any of these. Considering that... More

We saw Yitzhak Perlman there a couple years ago. It is very nice, pretty large, and the sound is great. Very nice.

All the things I wrote last year about the Nordstrum Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall are still valid - its great acoustics, comfortable seats good line of vision. BUT, I have encountered a difficulty this year I didn't know about then. Beware of Nordstrum Hall (the upstairs recital hall) if you are disabled. Since I bought tickets last year I... More

Great venue. I've been here for concerts and work events and all have been outstanding! For concerts, the sound and views are one of the best in the area. For events, the lay-out if ideal for large companies and the food had good variety and taste

As a subscriber to the Seattle Symphony, I have visited Benaroya Hall many times. Owing to its suspension on nearly one hundred blocks of rubber, the hall provides incomparable acoustics (a design and engineering masterpiece considering that it is built above an active railroad tunnel). There are no "bad" seats, views of the stage are not blocked by structural columns.... More

Absolutely first class concert venue. Intimate yet large enough for the full symphony sound to develop. Fabulous acoustics

My wife and I went here again last night to see the Seattle Symphony do all the music for Disney's Fantasia 2000, while the movie played in the background. The program was absolutely fantastic and kids and adults alike obviously loved it. I would highly recommend seeing it if it returns. Made us seniors feel like kids again...o.k., maybe not... More

Just a magnificent hall to experience. The look, the feel and the sound just engulf you and create an experience that begs you to return again and again. This is the home of the Seattle Symphony and has a main hall as well as a smaller secondary hall.

I've had the privilege of seeing a number of performances in Benoroya Hall (not just classical performances) including: The Seattle Symphony Tom Cruise Speaking Organ Concert Trey Anastasio + Symphony It's a wonderful space. The acoustics are top notch and the design is one of the very best interiors in Seattle in my opinion. Highly recommended.

We went to one of the shows especially designed for kids. (The Teddy Bears picnic) It was held in the recital hall, which is the smaller of the two halls. It was excellent. The staff went all out before the event to put on arts and crafts for the kids, and there was musicians there to let the kids play... More
