Private function at this location was great. Learning the intricacies of the Iditarod was well worth the tour. The food was great as well. Enjoyed the gold digging experience but would not do that again. Only dredged $7.83 worth of gold LOL.

We loved this place - not because of the gold panning - because of the staff - the gold dredge tour history and the AMAZING Dog Sled tour - we got to meet a man that has ran the Iditarod and see the dogs, his sled and puppies! Highly recommend this place - so much fun. We also had dinner... More

We (my wife and two children -- eight and five years old) came here as a shore excursion on a cruise and could have been more happy and satisfied. Our particular set-up had us listen to a talk from Matt (a dog musher), who was terrific, before he introduced us to his dogs (and eight puppies) and gave a demonstration.... More

We booked this tour through Disney Cruise Line in early July because the information we were given sounded like we could keep our 4 kids entertained. Yes the price is high, but not in comparison to the other excursions we had to choose from. It was a short bus ride to the Klondike and we were greeted by an enthusiastic... More

Awesome tour of the dredge! Really great talk about dog sled racing. Very informative and interesting. Matt is great! It was great watching the dogs run and great holding the puppies!

We had a great time at the Klondike fields & it was fantastic afternoon for the kids. Matt was extremely interesting to listen to with his description of the Iditarod Dog Race & what it requires to simply compete let alone win. The highlight for the kids was getting to hold the young puppies later on. Their customer service can't... More

Booked this excursion thru Princess cruise, everyone wanted to do some "gold panning". this was part of another excursion/train ride. On the way up from Skagway our bus drive told us no gold was ever found in this valley, that Skagway was a stepping stone to the Klondike. WHAT?!? and we were going to pan for gold in this valley?!?... More

We were able to visit the Gold Dredge while on a shore excursion with the Ruby Princess. We had a great lunch that was delicious. My family (there were 8 of us) loved the chicken! My daughters went back for seconds of the mac & cheese! After lunch we went out to listen & take part in a sing along... More

We arrived to the Klondike fields on our own and NOT with a tour from our cruise. Unfortunately we arrived in the late afternoon when the dogs were already done for the day. We took this tour 4 years ago in the morning and had a great experience since we enjoyed the dogs plus panning. This time around for $100... More
