We booked via the net before leaving home, and hit the jackpot. We were met in the bus parking lot beside the wharf by Dave (with top hat), who introduced us to Saskia our driver and personal guide for the day. And when I say personal, I mean they went ahead with the tour for just the 2 of us.... More

Prior to bookiing this excursion for four we had had excellent communication via email from Kathy, Dave's office lady. Dave met us at our boat and directed us to our guide for the day, Jeanine. Our bus was full, about 16 of us, from two ships. We had an interesting mix of people on the bus, 8 from the lower... More

We did this tour when our cruise stopped in Skagway in early Sept. We were lucky enough to get Dave himself as our driver. He meet us at the cruise dock and we picked up several other people and we were on our way. He knew all the best stopping points for viewing and photos. We went to Emerald lake... More

We were fortunate to have Dave himself guide this tour, it was like an old friend showing you the sights, he knew the best vantage points for photography and of course the Sourdough Bakery for a light lunch. Dave met us at the dock drove us to the railway station and them met us at Fraser after the train. Dave... More

My small group was lucky to get Dave as our tour guide when the initial tour bus was overbooked. His humor, knowledge, and sheer enthusiasm to share the beauty of the Yukon up to and including Emerald Lake, was absolutely wonderful. Frequent stops for pictures and berry-picking kept all of us happy and contented. I absolutely recommend his tours!

Wish I could remember the name of the funny lady who drove our bus.(she had just returned from NZ) one of the better tours we have done anywhere in the world. Informative, entertaining and just an absolute pleasure. I'm guessing you have to be off the top shelf to work for Dave. Hope he finds his passport!

Jeannine was our tour guide also @ was very good. I felt she went out of her way to accommodate everyone and make the trip as enjoyable as possible, at the request of one if our passengers, she stopped at the historic graveyard just on the outskirts if Skagway where the scoundrel Soapy Smith is buried as well as the... For our trip, we had Jeanine as our guide. She was great. Lots of great information, found us a bear on the way north and worked hard to beat the large buses to the border and picture sites. The bakery had great lunch and vegetarian options. When an accident happened to a fellow cruiser, Dave made sure everyone got the... More

We did this tour in August 2014 with Dave. We went to the Yukon and back. Dave was very responsive to what we wanted to see and took us on a great tour. We stayed way ahead of any buses on different tours and saw a lot more then any comparable tour. We stopped and all the over looks and... More

Just returned from our Alaskan Cruise and one of the better attractions was Dyea Dave's tour. The driver met us at the dock and we took off to the Yukon with many stops along the way, including a desert....who knew there was a desert in the Yukon?? Emerald lake was beautiful and the bakery in Carcross was awesome, best wild... More
