My husband and I booked the Laughton Glacier Wilderness Hike and White Pass Railway Adventure through Celebrity. It was one of the best experiences of our Alaskan cruise! We lucked out with great weather which gave us great views of the glacier as we hiked. We had four guides and they were all so much fun and so knowledgeable about... More

On our Carnival cruise to Alaska we booked the Glacier Lake Kayak & Scenic Railway Experience excursion through Carnival. The tour company Carnival used was Packer Expeditions. We met our tour operator at the end of the pier. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting for everyone to gather, we headed on our way to the White Pass Depot. It was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the hike up Laughton Glacier! Our guides were knowledgeable and accomodating, ensuring everyone had what they needed to hike the glacier (For example: crampons, which really do help, were provided). It can get a bit wet in Alaska, so factor that in. We wore layers, with a rain jacket over top. Good footwear is also an obvious... More

Beginning with the very informative and scenic coach ride with Ryan (driver and guide) to Fraser, B.C., then kayaking with our guides Stu (the Silver Fox) and Rob - super fun, humorous, knowledgeable on Lake Bernard, then boarding for our historic rail journey back to Skagway, this excursion was one of the highlights on our Alaskan Cruise. Thank you so... More

They were our tour company for our Denver Valley Wilderness Hike excursion via Celebrity Cruises. Our tour guides Nita, Ben & Kellan picked us up at the dock. You could tell right off the bat that we were gonna have an awesome day. The 11 or so of us boarded a motor coach for a 30 minute ride into British... More

My wife and I kayak often in southern Ontario. This whole experience, from the train ride to the pre-water advice to the actual paddle to the bus ride back to Skagway was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The guides, Todd and Shayne, we're personality-plus, but they never lost track of their obligation to maintain the highest possible... More

This is a really lovely and interesting hike. I wish I had known this hike is about going slowly, savoring the experience and being part of a large group. It is not a workout type hike. The Alaska rainforest is very lush and beautiful. The water rushing down from the glacier refreshing. The rocks on the glacier toe are all... More

My husband and I just returned from our Holland American Alaskan Cruise. While in Skagway, we took the White Pass train to the top and then we were met by our guides Shane and Luke who would be our guides on the kayak. My husband and I are not spring chickens ( 59 and 80 years old)...and this was our... More

Our group of 3 people signed on for the train ride/glacier hike. This trip was everyones favorite of the trip. We had three guides Shane, Shane and Luke. Thats right 2 Shanes! This group of young men were sweet, funny, knowledgeable, safe and entertaining. The train ride was informative more so on the way back. We were given waste packs... More

My wife and I booked the tour on Carnival, but you can save a few $$ and book direct. A quick walk from the pier where you can see the Salmon running as you wait for the train. Once on the train you are entertained by your gides who also provide last minute details, water, snacks and build your own... More
