There is a small Civil War town in Georgia known for its museum housing 'The General', the actual locomotive used in the 'Great Locomotive Chase', a significant Civil War event in our American History. However, the town has another feature worth exploring if you are a family and love great outdoor spaces. The Swift-Cantrell Park sits on 42 acres of... More

Came here the other day and found a dog park! They've got 2 sections, one for larger breeds, one for smaller. Each has a double fence system to help prevent the furry family members from sneaking out. They also had a cool skate park area, not that I would venture on to it.

This park has something for all age kids. They even have a dog park that your dogs can have fun in too.

We visit the park often since it's very close to our home and just love it! It's got a great walking/running trail, a nice dog park and a playground any kid would love. Swift-Cantrell park is one of the nicest parks around!

Wide open space for activities. Good walking track. A local favorite for outdoor enjoyment. Not the most convenient for entry/exit because it is on a two-lane road. Well-maintained. Plans for expansion.

Playgrounds for both the little ones, and the older kids. Clean restrooms, great walking/jogging/biking paths, and a dog park. The family loves spending time at Swift-Cantrell, and really looking forward to the new skate park that's being added this year.

As packed as this place can get, there is always parking and you still never feel like you're on top of another person. 2 dog areas, 1 for big dogs, 1 for little dogs. 2 playground areas, one for big kids, another for smaller. Large field areas for sports. Skate parks, nicely paved walking/running paths, flat and slighly hilly in... More
