Description: El Silencio de Los Angeles Walk - Walk around with your head in the clouds...
El Silencio de Los Angeles Walk - Walk around with your head in the clouds as you step into… the heart of the cloud forest with our own nature interpreters who will unveil a secret world of rich tropical life all along this 3 kilometer user-friendly trail. Located right on the hotel property, the trail was created by our hotel’s professional nature guides and is designed to showcase a variety of tropical flora and fauna as it winds its way throughout this rare and incredibly diverse biosphere. As a part of only 2.5% of the planet’s remaining cloud forests, this unique forest habitat continues to amaze our hotel guests and guides, as well as the trained research scientists from INBio (The National Institute of Biodiversity), who stablished staff the first research station to operate on a hotel property in Costa Rica.

The actual cloud forest is small, but they offer a guided tour or self guided tour. It's free! But they ask that you shop or order a beverage. Many things to see on the walk. The restaurant, gift shop, resort staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and very professional. We had lunch and the menu was expansive, offering everything from soups and... More

Beautiful and serene! Lots of interesting foliage, plants, hummingbirds, frogs and insects. The clouds blow in and out so the scenery changes frequently.

Wonderful accommodations at Villa Blanca. Incredible learning experiences. Food was amazing. Much from the on ground working farm. Staff from start to finish were friendly and helpful. This location is highly recommended

A little up and down but really not bad especially as the sights take your mind off of your feet.Interesting during the day but even more interesting at dusk/night. Need Bug spray and a torch/flashlight for the night walk. Also a guide as unless you know what you are looking for the chances are you will walk straight by frogs... More

Our group of 22 was split into 2 smaller groups and each was given a very knowledgeable guide. The smaller groups made it easier for the guides to help everyone see the wildlife and plants he was pointing out. This is where we saw the colorful (and poisonous) frogs. And the beautiful flowering plants that were unknown to our group... More

Great country side and good food. Food $$$ Rough roads to get there but safe. Good views before the clouds move in but nice cool clouds in the evening.

Fascinating! With flashlights and a guide it was a secret world I could never have imagined seeing. He pointed out the tiniest of frogs and explained the ecology of the region. The excursion was very enlightening and utterly captivating.

It is a very green place with a constant mist. It is high as 1800 meters. There are close places to buy palmetto cheese, coffee, sweets and take a break. Hotel Villa Blanca is near to this place. The place is on the route to the Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna de San Carlos.
