Description:

El Silencio de Los Angeles Walk - Walk around with your head in the clouds...

El Silencio de Los Angeles Walk - Walk around with your head in the clouds as you step into… the heart of the cloud forest with our own nature interpreters who will unveil a secret world of rich tropical life all along this 3 kilometer user-friendly trail. Located right on the hotel property, the trail was created by our hotel’s professional nature guides and is designed to showcase a variety of tropical flora and fauna as it winds its way throughout this rare and incredibly diverse biosphere. As a part of only 2.5% of the planet’s remaining cloud forests, this unique forest habitat continues to amaze our hotel guests and guides, as well as the trained research scientists from INBio (The National Institute of Biodiversity), who stablished staff the first research station to operate on a hotel property in Costa Rica.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The tour guides were excellent. We had a number of options for visits but just stayed in the forest around Villa Blanco as we were staying at the other places visited on day trips later in our holiday.

From the drive in, through stunning countryside, we knew this place would be special. Roy guided us on a memorable hike. Then we enjoyed an outstanding dinner, followed by coffee by fireside. What a special place!

I stayed at this resort in October 2015. What and amazing experience. I went for a hike alone on my first day and had an amazing time. The cloud forest hikes are amazing and just long enough to walk or really hike if that's your thing, the "senderos" are clearly marked, and tranquil. I took so many beautiful pictures, but... More

An amazing expereince that I cannot wait to repeat. Wonderful dining, beautiful scenery and perfect cool climate surrounded by 360 degrees of cloud forest. The service is attentive and the rooms are warm and welcoming. One of my favorite places in Costa Rica.

We stayed at Villa Blanca and really enjoyed hiking around the park. It is very beautiful. We took a night tour and saw lots of frogs. This area used to belong to a Costa Rican president who made it into a reserve. Breathtaking!

We stayed at Villa Blanca and hiked around the cloud forest. The biodiversity and wildlife was just amazing! We saw several hummingbirds, frogs, plants and even a large tarantula. We also took some amazing wedding pictures in one of the trails.

We stayed at Villa Blanca and hiked around the cloud forest multiple times. Highly recommend the night hike with Esteban and Roy. They are incredibly knowledgeable and have a passion for all of the cloud forest. We are really big animal geeks, and it is amazing what we were able to see. The clouds move through the forest in the... More

We really enjoyed our stay here and multiple walks all times of day. Great for flora, insects, and birds. The way the clouds come in is magical.
