There are tons of displays with a huge variety of sea life. And there are open tanks for the kids to handle sea cucumbers and starfish. Wood the sea lion swims laps in a 2-story tall aquarium and you can stand right next to the glass as he goes by. He's got an attitude and will blow bubbles at you... More

A memorable part of our Major Marine Kenai Fjords tour! It was a beautiful day for this boat tour, did experience some small calvings as well!

Yes there is global warming. It's disappearing too quickly and won't be there for our grandchildren.

We saw this glacier on a Kenai Fjords boat tour. The captain gets close enough for you to hear it roaring, and if you are lucky enough, to see it calving. We heard the first but did not see the latter. The glacier is very striated and mixed with the rocks and dirt it is pushing along. There are icebergs... More

This is a beautiful sight indeed. I got awesome photos. It is a magnificent glacier coming down to the water and when the ice chunks drop off it makes incredible noises. I thoroughly enjoyed this

Went to Holgate Glacier on the Stellar Explorer with Saltwater Cruises, as this is a small boat we got really close to the Glacier. It was stunning to see such a majestic sight, the size & blue colour cast of the Glacier are amazing. It was also cool to see huge chunks of ice that had broken off from the... More

Holgate Glacier is a phenomenal experience, even for the most experienced traveler..It is simply magnificient in its beauty and awesome to experience how small we people really are. It is a plus if you see if calve..but even if you don't, the blue color and the magnificence of being in the presence of a glacier of this magnitude will be... More

This glacier is truly breathtaking. On the Kenai Fjords Tour they get very close to this glacier so you will get plenty of great pictures in front of it. The only reason this glacier doesn't get five stars from me is that we didn't see any major calving. I was lucky enough to see the Marguerite glacier in Glacier Bay,... More

We spent about 25 minutes watching the Holgate Glacier while on a Major Marine boat tour. We could hear it groan and crack, and a few times, small pieces fell off. The glacier is huge! There were small icebergs floating around the glaciers. As you get closer to the glacier, the temperature dropped and it was pretty cold on the... More
