Definitely a "must do" via tour boat when in Seward. We took a 6 hr cruise and saw tons of wildlife, beautiful scenery and culminating with a stop at Holgate Glacier. Dress warm and try to stay on deck to get the full experience. We went in June and temperatures on the water, combined with the speed of the cruise... More

Took a large boat tour here and it was so amazing!! The ice field is unimaginably huge and serene. Saw calving and hear the thundering cracks of the glacier advancing. Just awesome! Definitely bring warm clothing no matter when you visit since it is super cold there. But WOW it is amazing there. Mountains and cliffs and icebergs galore. Take... More

If you are visiting the Kenai Penninsula, this is a must to see. The boat trip along the coast and to Holgate Glaicer was incredible. We saw seals, sea lions, eagles, two kinds of puffins, mountain goats, whales, several sea birds. sea otters, weird jellyfish - all in all amazing.

Each glacier has its own character. This one is imposing and beautiful! Wow! What an experience to be on a Major Marine Fjord tour and see this glacier that goes right down to the sea. There is so any interesting things to learn about these Kenai glaciers - take a tour!

This was a very good experience, you see a massive, impressive amount of ice that will take your breath away. If lucky to see some caving you got a bonus. Really a nice spot to be able to get so close. Was worth the time, money, and effort. Amazing.

Our boat tour out of Seward brought us to the Holgate Arm in Aialik Bay as part of the excursion. The terminus of the Holgate Glacier is located at the end of the Arm. Our relatively small boat (150-passenger capacity) was able to get fairly close to the glacier. Its size was very impressive. I didn't observe any calving while... More

Visited this glacier as a part of our tour, and we were awestruck by the sheer size of this one. Looked tiny from a distance, but when you get close, you realize the enormous size of this beautiful tidewater glacier. Have beautiful and unforgettable memories of this giant.

We were at Holgate Glacier yesterday and witnessed the caving of the glacier. A true once in a lifetime experience. A Bucket List must. Don't miss it.
