Holgate Glacier is an amazing sight. My husband, 11 year grand daughter and I spent three days camping, with our guide Dan, from Sunny Cove Kayaking Co. It rained the entire time we were there (what can you do about the weather?) It was still worth it to see the beauty of the glacier, hear the ice calving and see... More

Wonderful up close and personal look at a glacier. Listen to the avalanches when they hit the water. Really beautiful.

It was a beautiful glacier, lots of caving going on. Surrounded be sea loins, puffins and Eagles. Nice boat ride from Seward. We also saw fin and humpback whales,

We took the Major Marine Tour boat through the Kenai Fjords National Park and to Holgate glacier. We saw and heard it calving. It was incredible.

Got to see glacier calving on Kenai Fjord trip. LOts of whales too. THere was a baby seal, just born as well. Did take several Dramamine as I am not so good with seafaring trips. This was worth it, the captain was really good, she knew the area and gave us locations of where to look for wildlife.

We visited Holgate as part of a six-hour marine tour (with a charter) and it was definitely time well spent. The National Parks ranger was well informed and did an excellent job educating us and others about the glacier and the... More
