Sunny Cove was great to us! We kayaked from Lowell Point near Seward to a small beach down the bay. Cruising the fjords is really amazing, but kayaking it was such a different way of experiencing the landscape. Jack and Kelly were so knowledgeable about the area and wildlife we saw; they were probably the best part of the trip.... More

Kayaking is just a perfect way to experience the beauty of Alaska. Our guide Kat was warm and knowledgeable. Resurrection Bay was calm and made for a perfect environment for any level of experience. Seeing seals, whales and eagles was an added bonus!

Our 3 hour kayak trip landed us at Tonsina beach, where we spent a lot of time beachcombing and hiking. Our guides (Kelly & Ben, highly recommended!) were knowledgeable about local plants and animals, and were able to introduce us to a couple of edible plants on and around the beach. We were also able to see some very tiny... More

We had an amazing time out on the water! We did a three hour bay trip, but saw so much. Whales, 2 kinds of porpoise, an eagle, and much more. Thank you so much for the amazing time, The whole Seward Sealife Center Crew!

Best day of our whole Alaska trip!! Matt must be the whale whisperer because we had friends almost the whole time we were kayaking!! I knew that it was rare for whales to come into the bay, but we were lucky enough to have a few of them with us!! I'm in love with eagles too so seeing them and... More

This is a must do activity in sewerd. We started off the kayaking trip with some orientation and paddling instructions. The instructors Kat and Jack were really helpful and fun to hang out with. This was my first time kayaking and they gave me a lot of encouragement and helpful beginners tips. You cannot ask for a better location. It... More

With fun and knowledgable guides to lead the way, Sunny Cove shows off the beauty of Resurrection Bay through adventurous sea kayaking! The ocean and mountains were picturesque as we circumnavigated Fox Island. We saw amazing natural beauty in the rock faces, glaciers, and remnants of the 1964 earthquake. Making friends with the curious harbor seals and watching an eagle... More

This is a must do activity at Seward. The tour takes us through the resurrection bay and also involves a short hike before we come back to the starting point. The views were wonderful. During our hike we could see lot of salmons trying to swim against the stream. Our guides were very patient and gave lot of information about... More

We had an evening paddle booked near Seward. Ended up with two other couples, one of whom had zero kayaking experience or energy to learn. So the paddle was short and disappointing. Staff was accommodating and boats are fine. I would not book this trip again but do recommend Sunny Cove as an outfit.

Hello tramBUF, Thank you for joining us for our Resurrection Bay 3-hour kayak! We commonly do have first timers on our Resurrection Bay 3-hour adventures, and our paddling pace can vary depending on experience levels, physical abilities and sea conditions. We keep the distance covered on this trip relatively short so newer paddlers can more easily enjoy the experience. We're... More
