I would suggest that to start out with enough clothes so that you are just cool as you will get warmer as you paddle more

The 3 hour sunset paddle was great. Lots of sea otters and great views. Our guide, Brett, was very knowledgeable about kayaking, as well as the area in which we were kayaking and Alaska in general.
