These visions become reality in Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay. The waters abound with marine life. Sea otters casually watch you as they feed on sea urchins and mollusks; adolescent seals follow you curiously as you kayak in silence; pods of orcas glide through the waters as they search for salmon...it's all here waiting for you. « less

What an experience! I'll admit that at the start I was feeling trepidation at the thought of kayaking around in the cold, deep ocean. My fears, however, were immediately put to rest when I met my guide, Jen, and she was able to easily answer all of my questions and concerns. The perspective you get from being right there on... Bets was our guide and she did a wonderful job describing the area we were in. She was also funny and personable. We saw starfish, puffins, harbor seal, eagle, harbor porpoises from afar. Overall, a successful trip! One thing to note: I'm not sure if it says anywhere on the site, but we were in tandem kayaks which I didn't... More

Our guides Jen and Sabrina were fantastic! The kayaking was so peaceful and beautiful. It's easier than I expected (maybe my husband did all the work?). The views are gorgeous. Sure, it might be expensive, but it also might be the only time I get to experience this. Very worthwhile. Be sure to bring a water-resistant jacket and layer your... More

I dropped in to Sunny Cove after doing some Googling about Seward, where we went to spend Labor Day weekend. I asked 'bout where to launch and was given great advice. I also stopped by after my paddle to find out where I;d gone (and to let 'em know I was still alive). Both times, I got good , friendly... More

The trip was fun but you are paying through the nose for what is essential a short paddle, ordinary lunch and resurrection boat trip that only saw birds. $400 + tips for kayaking guides + boat staff...EXPENSIVE

We took a half day cruise and kayak tour through Kenai Fjords Excursions and the kayaking was definitely the highlight. We only wish we had JUST done the kayaking and skipped the cruise. Our guides Trevor and Eileen were very knowledgeable of the ecosystem and knew all the best spots to find wildlife. We were lucky enough to see humpbacks... More

Guides were great, area was beautiful, weather was a little wet but pretty perfect otherwise. We saw very little wildlife, guess that's just the chance you take. Doing something like this is really to enjoy nature while being somewhat active, not just sitting on a boat for 7 hours hoping something comes along. Food at the lodge was so-so, but... More

We did the three hour tour in the early afternoon and all that I can say is that I was glad that the wind was blowing with me as we paddled back rather than against me. It was my first time in a kayak so getting the strokes down and getting comfortable were a bit challenging during the trip. The... More

We did the all-day Grand Day Tour and LOVED it! The ride to/from Holgate Arm can get a little long, but there was lots to see along the way - scenery and animals. The paddle was very easy, not strenuous at all. Equipment was in great condition. The guides (Betsi and Eileen) were very knowledgable and helpful. They did a... More

Forrest took our family out on a twilight kayak from Fox Island. He was the best. It was our very first time kayaking, and he taught us everything we needed to know. It was great for our whole family, including our 10 yo daughter. At that time of night, with the sun finally going down and the fog rolling in,... More
