4th of July visit

Alaska is the most wonderful place I have ever been to. I stayed at Miller’s landing this summer and had a great time. Staff at Miller’s landing were very accommodating, helpful and nice on the phone and in person. Lodgings were very clean and comfortable. There is a lot to do there. Of course you have to be prepared to... More

We had a wonderful vacation due to the experiences at Millers Landing. A full day of multi species fishing followed by a day kayak trip to Aialik glacier two days later. Could not have been more pleased.

I should have been a better TripAdvisor community member and posted this in July 15. I just received a customer survey and took the time to type a response. So, since I had typed it, I decided to just cut and paste what I shared. I am serious when I say that unless you are an experienced kayaker, do not... More

We camped for 2 days over the 4th of July weekend. The bathrooms were convenient and each campsite had a fire pit. The only bad part was that there was a ton of people in Seward for the Mount Marathon race. Not a lot of privacy, but easy to get to.

One of worst accommodations ever encountered. Pricey, run down and uncomfortable. If you can't see what you are getting into before paying, look elsewhere.

After reading the reviews previously posted I was not sure what to expect of our trip. But we really loved it. Yes, the place is not the most organized, but the showers were very clean and the friendliness of the staff made up for all the little mishaps. We stayed one night at the campground (ocean front - one RV... More

OK, the good stuff first: Ross was a willing and able, though obviously somewhat inexperienced, guide on our all-day kayak trip to the glaciers and icebergs. A very nice young man, but with lots of room to learn. The captain and the mate on the water taxi that took us 2 hours to the launch area (and back later in... More

We booked 2 tours - "All day Aialik" sea kayak with guide Trampus, could hardly have been better. The combo fishing trip had snags - the boat motor was smoking so we had to head back in and change to a smaller, more crowded boat. We got nothing in first couple stops - and then... we filled the boat with... More

We booked the night trip to Bridal Veil Falls. We had an exceptionally perfect night with calm waters, sunny skies, and comfortable temperatures. The scenery was beautiful and the falls were average. Our guide was a goofy kid but we enjoyed his company and knowledge on the area. We saw some otters and dolphins. While the trip was not outstanding,... More

My husband and I initially booked the Bridal Veil Falls tour with Miller's Landing as we had a 2-for-1 Tour Saver coupon. We were contacted the night before and were told the water was predicted to be very rough so we were upgraded to the Tosina tour which we appreciated. We were advised by a local to avoid driving our... More
