This was probably the most strenuous thing I've done in a long time but I don't regret it for a second. Despite requiring breaks to catch my breath (Karl was SUPER patient), we rode through streams, past eagles, salmon, and bear tracks, through bushes, and to a black sand beach and back. The scenery was exhilarating. The colors of the... More

Karl brought us on a wonderful single track ride on the Johnson's Pass trail. He went above and beyond to work with us when one of our party was too sick to make the ride on our original scheduled day. The trail was a really fun variation of climbs and descents! Karl stopped at a few scenic views on the... More

I went for a spectacular winter beach ride with Karl today on his Phat Tire Bikes! The snowy mountains, the blue sky, and the spectacular ocean views were enough to make anyone smile... but charging across streams, cruising over frozen beach grass, and navigating across the intertidal mud and rocks- that is what made for a truly fantastic ride. If... More

We booked Karl for a 'Summer - Guided Low Tide Ride' and couldn't be happier. My brother and parents (in their 50s) have some experience in riding traditional mountain bikes, but the fat tires made it a breeze. We didn't deal with any particularly difficult terrain or obstacles, but the bikes were perfect (originally built by Karl, as I understand)... More

I rented these bikes with some friends to check out how they handled in the winter landscape! Karl was super helpful and had lots of tips about the bikes and area we wanted to check out. These bikes are a great way to go out exploring since you can take them on or off trails or roads. And, depending on... More

A super fun way to get out and see this beautiful area. The bikes were great despite being a little winter out of shape. A fantastic day!

Great tour with Karl over the beach flats with tide out. We saw many jumping salmon, bald eagles and bear tracks. Be prepared to get wet and muddy but fat bikes handled the beach easily! High recommended!

My wife and I took a fat bike tour with Karl this morning in the bay around Seward. It was our first time on these fat bikes. It was an excellent experience and a very good tour. Karl is a great host, guide. We went to the opposite side of the bay from the town and had a nice perspective... More

Karl was a great guide with lots of knowledge and a genuinely nice guy which made the ride really fun. I did the Johnson pass, a stunning ride with some great single track. The bikes were very new (Trek) and i was provided with a helmet. Karl was there to support with any questions and had loads of information about... More
