Out of all the things I was able to experience in Alaska, the 9 hour whale watching boat tour to the Northwestern Glacier that I took with Kenai Fjords Tours was by far the most memorable. Mark, our captain, was so great. He was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and also was an incredibly experienced captain, taking us... More

Do yourself a favor and take this tour. It lasts about 6 hours and what a trip!!! We saw a pod of whales, sea lions, otters, seals and puffins among other birds. The Glaciers are interesting but not the highlight of the trio at least for me. The captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He is an excellent educator and... More

This was an eight hour cruise on Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska that took your breath away. We saw a pod of orcas, 3 humpback sightings where we stopped and watched for about 10 minutes each, puffins, bald eagles, dolphins, sea lions and sea otters, mountain goats, and many more animals. If that was not enough, we saw 3 calvings... More

We, a party of nine including two kids and one youth had a particularly productive cruise abroad the calistho voyager whose captain Terry kept us thoroughly engaged with his brilliant commentary and skillful manoeuvre to get us close to a wide variety of whales, orcas including the rare transient species, sea lions, porpoises and huge variety of birds including the... We took the 8 hour Northwestern Glacier tour this time. Every time we visit Seward we take a whale watching tour, and have never been disappointed even if the weather was less than perfect. This tour the weather was overcast and the seas about a 3-5 foot swell. We hardly felt it. We saw all the wildlife that we come... More

If your goal in Alaska is to see wildlife, this is the tour to take! Captain Chris snd his crew on the Tenanina were awesome! We saw whales breeching, orcas, puffins, harbor seals, otters, sea lions, eagles, and many other bird species! We also came within 1/4 mile of a glacier, which was a phenomenal experience. Captain Chris told us... More

The Kenai Fjords tour from Seward was magical. Tanner did a great job of explaining wildlife and glaciers. I would highly recommend. The Captain I believe her name was Liz really took her time and let us enjoy the whales. Which was so appreciated!!

Our captain and staff was absolutely amazing in pointing out the various wildlife, receptive to passenger needs and, making sure that everyone had a super time. We saw mountain goats, whales, otters, porpoises, eagles, puffins, a few more types of birds, sea lions, a glacier and had a wonderful meal at Fox Island. If you can only do one thing... More

The tour's departure dock was within walking distance of our hotel (Holiday Inn Express). Upon arrival we were advised that the sea was too rough so the 9 hour tour (which included the glacier) was cancelled, however we were offered either an abbreviated tour (about 4 hours long) with a partial refund or else a full refund. We decided to... More

Captain Chris was a great travel guide on our 4 1/2 hour tour. We were lucky enough to see a pod humpback whales almost immediately, then a pod of Orca's. Lunch was included on Fox Island and consisted of prime rib and other sides. It was delicious (of course I had to add on a 1/2 pound of King Crab... More
