We have been running our hiking tours out of Seward for five years now, and we are the only company in town offering guided glacier tours. Our tours allow adventurous folks to ice climb and hike directly on the surface of this magnificent natural attraction. We also offer a cheap ride to Exit Glacier from Seward via an hourly, eco-friendly $10 shuttle. The rangers at the park offer free tours of the lower area 3 times a day. « less

We did the ice climbing trip and we had such a great time. The weather was pretty crummy the day we went out, cold, raining etc. but it could not dampen our spirits at all. Really, I was surprised how the crummy weather didn't hinder our enjoyment, it was hard to even notice it, plus once we got on the... More

If you are an active hiker and in a good shape physically, you have got to do this. This is such a unique experience, miles more than any hike you have ever done. A tough 3 mile uphill hike takes you to the base of the glacier where you put on your ice climber gear. From there on its pure... More

I was visiting Alaska in June 2013 with my husband and we both were very excited about this hike! We are from Seattle and enjoy moderate hikes during summer. Going by the website , we excepted a moderate 45-60 minute hike up the mountain and back with enough time on the ice field. On the way up, the guides were... More

It seems like yesterday but it's been a year since our tour with Exit Glacier Guides. My husband and I enjoyed our tour. I would definitely do the tour again! The hike was a little bit difficult for me but was well worth it.

I worked in Alaska this summer about an hour drive from Seward, so when I had a few days off I would hitch hike there and stay at hostels. While I was in Seward, I took advantage of all of the adventure tours and I have to say the Exit Glacier Guides was probably the best. I came in the... More

Excellent ! Even our 7 year old kid enjoyed the whole hike. Our guide, Steve, was nice and helped the kids during the walk. One of the best things we did during our trip to alaska.

If you are going to visit a place in Alaska do not miss The Exit Glacier on your way south to Seward. About 90 minutes south of Anchorage the trip is on a wonderfully maintained highway with spectacular views on either side of the road. You can get next to the Glacier after an easy moderate hike on well maintained... More

We had seen so many amazing glaciers on our northbound cruise from Vancouver to Whittier and also on a small boat tour through the Northwestern Fjords that we were very eager to get a little closer and actually walk on one. We are in our early 50's and enjoy walking (not that we do much back home) so we were... More

This was one of the best things I have ever done. We arrived early at their shop to be fitted for our gear and store our luggage. They got us our back packs and gear and we were off to the glacier. The hike up was great and very scenic, but I can see how some could find it quite... More

We were lucky enough to have Nathan as our guide. The hike , while beautiful, was a bit difficult. Nathan worked at our pace. He never made us feel like the tired old people we are. ( when I say we, I really mean me ). He used his time to educate us on the local flora and fauna, the... More
