Tripadvisor is a little confusing regarding the reviews and description of Major Marine boat tours out of Seward. The Resurrection Bay tour is the same tour as the Kenai Fjords National Park Tour which is a 4 or 5 hours cruise out of the Seward Boat Harbor. Resurrection Bay is the body of water surrounding Seward and the Kenai Fjords... More

We took the 6-hour trip and saw lots of wildlife, some very unusual. The captain, Nicole, had very sharp eyes, and spotted things others may have missed. She was quite skilled at maneuvering the boat for passengers to see wildlife, while avoiding disrupting the animals. The Ranger on board, Doug, shared many interesting details about the wildlife, the area, and... More

we went and it was during a rainy period… decided to take the boat at night and opted NOT to get the dinner. although the staff tried so hard to make sure people were comfortable and taken care of (meal time, etc), the food did not look that great to me. it was only 20 for the added dinner, so... Completed the 5 hour tour with my 9 year old. I had some questions before the cruise so I sent an email a few days ahead. I was sent a very prompt and helpful reply. We did not purchase the buffet of salmon or prime rib so we brought our own snacks on board. I really liked that we had... More

We took the later cruise since it never gets dark in July. The advantage of the later cruise is that it is less crowded. I believe this is because there are typically no cruise ships and cruise people on the later tour due to them having to be back at port by then but I am not 100% sure why... More

Incredible tour. Great Crew and the Capitan, Melissa I think, was wonderful. We saw calving glaciers, pods of whales, puffins, seals...porpoises. The ranger was terrific and very knowledgeable. We had the lunch, salmon and roast beef...also very good. The boat has an underwater mike and we hear the whales singing. It was incredible.

My husband and I just returned from taking the Major Marine 3 hour tour in Resurrection Bay and it was great. We booked it last minute yesterday because we had a gap in our day and 3 hours was the perfect amount of time. The staff on board, John, Nate and Logan were very friendly and knowledgable. We saw Porpoises,... More

Saw various wildlife and even a hump back whale and calf. Great tour with four children 10 and under even on a rainy cold day.
