Excellent helicopter tour of the Big Island! Dan, our pilot, was very professional and very knowledgeable/informative of everything we were seeing on the island as we flew over and around the island. Just a few highlights of the trip, he showed us some live lava flows, a crashed WWII B-18 bomber, unbelievable views of an over 2000 Ft. waterfall, and... More

You have not seen any of the islands untill you fly over them. Watch steaming lava roll into the sea. The magnitude of devaststion trail after lava burned out a whole comunity. The lone, still ocupied, house that stands on the lava field even to this day. Lush forests and hidded waterfalls. Awsome

Our tour with Paradise Helicopters was fabulous. We saw many waterfalls which were magnificent. Seeing whales from a helicopter (an unexpected treat) allowed us to see their whole body and their "footprint" left behind in the water as they dove under. The volcanoes were the motivation for our tour as we hoped to see an active lava flow which can... More

We had a great trip with York. We did the volcano and water falls. York was excellent at his craft and made us all feel comfortable. Okay the water falls were a tad disappointing. But we saw some whales breaching and left extremely happy. I would recommend this to anyone. Door off was really Magnum PI all the way!

Did the trip last night with my wife on a Bell helicopter and pilot Koji. Only 2 other people on board for half the flight and then picked another couple up in Hilo. Don't worry where you sit as the pilot makes sure everyone gets and great view and God out of to his way to get all the photo... More

I booked an amazing Big Island tour through Paradise Helicopters. One benefit is the ease of access. You don't have to drive 30 or 40 minutes out of town. They are located at the Kona Airport. The view was spectacular and the pilot was very informative. The volcano was active and the pilot made sure everyone had the chance to... More

Our Paradise Helicopter tour was the highlight of our Kona stay. We have been on other tours and felt Paradise was unique. The pilot made the effort to get to know us and what we wanted to see. He then tailored the tour to include them. He had so much knowledge about the volcanoes, weather patterns, topography, etc. It was... More

We took the full Big Island tour, and we enjoyed every minute. We were lucky enough to get a glimpse of orange lava (being daytime, it's not so easy to see), as well as whales, waterfalls, valleys, lush vegetation, beautiful coastlines, resorts and the two impressive snow-capped Maunas. To quote an old cliché: An experience of a lifetime.

This is really worth the money, especially if you are short on time or not inclined to hiking up mountains. I paid the extra $50 for the front seat and it is well worth it .. it was an exhilarating ride. The pilot knew his island and the views were amazing.

This was the first tour I booked when we decided to visit Hawaii. I was not dissapointed in any way. From check in ,to handing back your headset , you are treated respectfully by friendly staff. I flew on Jan 30 and pilot Reece was great , as you would expect from a Kiwi. His knowledge of the area ,... More
