This was the best snorkel trip we've taken by far. The ship provided great space to enjoy the sunshine or shade without issue, the facilities (washrooms) were beyond anything I've seen on a trip of this nature and the crew, were simply, outstanding. We received excellent information on Marine Life, we were able to stop and enjoy whale watching and... More

This is an excellent snorkel experience on the Big Island. The catamaran is large enough to be very comfortable on the ocean, and the crew and captain are experienced, friendly and very helpful. Snorkelling at the Captain Cook Monument area is absolutely incredible. The Fairings II boat is able to moor right in the best snorkelling area, which is wonderful.... More

This was my first time snorkeling. The Captain and his crew made it a great experience. They all provided great tips to have the best experience and was very patient in giving information. It was an amazing trip that not only provided snorkeling but whale watching. Would definitely book another trip with the Fair Wind!

This was our second trip on the Hula Kai, and there have been countless others on the other catamaran in the past 30+ years as I have found Fair Wind to be the best of snorkel trips in the whole of the Hawaiian Islands. What we like about Fair Wind is the ease on and off the boats (I have... More

About an hour's boat ride from Kona to the bay where Capt. Cook's monument is located. Opportunity to have a nice breakfast with coffee, juice, assorted pastries and a frittata. It's a small tranquil bay with a limited snorkeling area and the opportunity to spot a few fish in and see some coral. Nothing spectacular but still fun. The crew... More

a very memorable and enjoyable experience. The Captain and crew were awesome. My 5 year old grand daughter wash little scared of swimming in the ocean (thanks Discovery Channel Shark Week). The crew helped ease her fears and took time to get her into the water at her own pace. We saw lots of whales up close and tons of... More

Went on the morning snorkel trip to Captain Cook on 1-16-15. The crew was fun and very helpful. Trip was very fun. I opted to pay the extra for SNUBA with Maria. She was a patient and fun teacher. Totally worth the money. Will definitely be doing this again next time I'm on the island.
