Our family has been coming to the Big Island for over 30 years and still loves to take the Fair Wind cruise every year. We learn something new, the snorkling and food are always great and the staff make the experience wonderful every time!

This trip was fantastic; we elected to go on the boat that is marketed as luxury and no kids under 7. Unfortunately the water was rough so we snorkeled in the same area instead of 2 different areas but it was still a great day! the Captain Cook Memorial, that we were not scheduled to go to but did due... We took a night snorkel with the Giant manta Rays - it was spectacular! The huge boat provided wetsuits (necessary) and snorkel gear including noodles. At the end of the snorkel they provided hot drinks and snacks. Departs from Keauhou Bay. They take a very short ride (5 minutes?) to the Sheraton Resort (our hotel!) and then anchor. They put... We recently took their morning 4 1/2 hour trip with two adults and two young teenagers and had an absolute blast. This is a fantastic trip for anyone looking for a low-stress outing, especially for those with young kids, those new to snorkeling, those who want access to a "real" bathroom, and/or those who aren't the best of swimmers. The... More

The crew was helpful, the ride was excellent, and the snorkel amazing. This was a must and Fair Winds is the best.

This review is not negative towards this company this is just an FYI for couples. My husband and I were expecting to be on the Hula Kai, less people, more of an "adult-type" snorkel trip. (As was implied by our concierge). We drove 30 minutes from our hotel to find we were booked for the Fair Wind which had a... More

I've taken the four hour morning snorkel cruise twice now and would do this again and again if I could. My first experience was absolutely breathtaking and the second did not disappoint. The area in which you snorkel is loaded with fish, turtles, and a beautiful reef. The water does get quite deep at the drop off but the majority... More

My first Fair Wind cruise was in 1994, and I've sailed with them many times over the last twenty years. This attraction remains the second most highly recommended investment I have for Big Island visitors, next to the imperative visit to Volcanoes National Park. As a former Kona resident and Innkeeper, I can personally attest to the Fair Wind's nearly... More

The Fair Winds afternoon cruise is a great way to see the island from the sea and do some snorkeling! The guides were helpful and made sure that everyone had what they needed to enjoy their time aboard the ship and in the water! The area where we snorkel was pretty but there was another group there and it felt... More
