The trip began 9:30 am, and breakfast was served as we stopped at the first bay. We chose to eat first. There was a selection of fruit, yogurt, granola, crossaints, and small fritatas, along with juice. The ocean was calm, so the snorkeling was easy, and we could clearly see the fish and coral. Our next bay was in a... More

Having never snorkeled and being a very poor swimmer, I was hesitant about trying. But, the whole experience was wonderful. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The crew was very efficient with their operation of the trip from start to finish. I snorkeled with a floatation belt and an inner tube. Yeah, I am a chicken in the water. But... More

We took this tour with 2 other couples and had a great time! We saw lots of fish and dolphins! The breakfast and lunch were good; and the crew was excellent!

Choose the morning sail for the best chance for sun as afternoons in Kona can be cloudy. The boat is large and very stable, the crew attentive and knowledgeable. Experienced and novice snorkelers will be delighted. Kealakakua Bayrightfully boasts about a wonderful place for tropical fish in their own beautiful habitat of clear ocean water and amazing corals. Breakfast and... More

Once again--the review form has no provision for a family touring with adult children. The snorkeling tour was excellent. The round trip travel time from Keauhou Bay to Kealakekua Bay takes 2 hours. This means there are 2 hours for snorkeling--enough time to get involved but not so much as to bore people. Along the way, we saw humpback whales... More

My teenage daughters and my spouse and I had a great morning/lunch snorkeling trip to Kealakekua Bay with Fair Wind. Staff was friendly and fun, and the snorkeling was excellent. It took a little adjusting to the number of people on board (40 or so, by my count) and at the snorkeling site, but once I did so it was... More

Excellent snorkeling trip. The Hula Kai is a great boat. Almost new and very modern. Great crew. Just the right size. Big enough to feel really safe and comfortable but not too crowded. Very good breakfast and lunch. World class snorkeling. This tour is geared more for adults. No children under 8.

I went on the morning snorkel trip. Regardless of your snorkeling expertise, this is a trip for all ages and experience levels. The crew is concerned about both your safety and ensuring you have a great time. We were in the bay for 2 1/2 hours and I didn't want to get out of the water. Although I did take... More

It was snorkel time again on vacation in Kona. Last year we went with Fairwinds and loved it so all I had to do this year is call them. They gave us 20% off for returning customers. When we come to Hawaii we love being on the ocean. With this tour you have a nice boat ride. We saw whales... More
