Our very best snorkel trip was 10 years ago with Fair Wind in Kona, Hawaii. My husband described it as "just like putting your head in an aquarium!" We booked with them this trip - a group of four adults and six kids. This group does a fabulous job of catering to every person's sorkel comfort level. The boat is... More

Excellent staff and super clean boat. But if large crowds are not your thing, consider something different. We truly enjoyed our time on the Fair Wind and felt very safe. The crew is young, but extremely knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. Dante, the captain, really knows his job. The snorkeling where we went to Captain Cook monument at the Kealakekua Bay... The food is great. The crew is informative and take great care of the passengers. The fish and dolphins ... fantastic. Snorkeling at Captain Cooks Monument is a must.

This is a top notch outfit!!!! This visit we went on the (morning) Kealakekua Bay Deluxe Snorkel Cruise. It was so worth every dollar and will return. Crew was awesome. Boat was fun, especially the high dive. Plenty of time and space to snorkel. --- A few years back we tried the Hula Kai snorkel and was so pleased. On... More

I went on a similar cruise with my wife, who was not my wife at that time, years ago. I didn't enjoy it that much at that time, and I think it was because the company that we chose at the time was more into providing an adult party atmosphere on the boat. So I was a bit hesitant booking... More

I took my 5 year old and my 16 year old on the afternoon cruise. The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. They had plenty of gear to ensure my 5 year old could enjoy the snorkeling experience without having to actually use a "J" snorkel. The slides and diving platforms on the boat ensured that they were never bored.... More

We did so many things together as a family (two teenage daughters) and the snorkel excursion was my favorite. They fed us well (both breakfast and lunch) and the bay was amazing - so clear with lots of different fish.

The morning snorkel with breakfast and BBQ was fantastic! The crew were all helpful, kind and knowledgeable! The snorkel location was amazing! Although we did some great snorkeling right off shore near Kailua, this trip was also a lot of fun, not too crowded, fun slides and great fishies!! Would recommend it if you want the whole boat experience. We... More

We recently went on the Fair Winds snorkle tour to Kealakekua Bay in the morning, then joined them for their manta ray snorkle that evening. Both events were stellar. The boat, crew and organization for the Kealakekua Bay crusie were all great --even though an electrical problem cut into some of the amenities -- the crew went out of their... More
