My husband and I just returned from the big island of Hawaii, where we took advantage of going on the dolphin snorkel excursion, with Big Island Divers. My husband is a diver, and I am a nervous snorkeller. I need not have worried. Our captain, Sam, and her assistant, Tara were tremendous. Our safety and comfort were top priority, and... More

My wife and I took an "Introductory Diving Course" with Big Island Diving. It was wonderful to experience the depths of the ocean for the first time. As first timers, many of the first steps can be challenging but we were reassured by the professional attitude taken by every member of the crew. Our instructor, Sarah, was both helpful and... More

The dive was amazing. 3 mantas the night we went close enough to touch (but dont). The crew - tara, lori, milea and captain Mike were great. All of them were friendly, helpful and informative. You don't want to miss this opportunity.

My sister, husband and I decided we wanted to get our Open Water Padi Certification here and did the Elearning online course. Kelly was our instructor and she was awesome! Very funny, made us feel right at home. Although most of the underwater activities we handled with ease some were very difficult. Removing my mask while underwater was the hardest... More

Visually it was something un-see-able. Flying giant creatures -- underwater a few feet away -- with a light-show made by divers and snorkelers. What a great experience! My wife's snorkeling retired parents and brother were very well taken care of by dive-master / marine biologist KATRINA on the surface had a great sense of humor and depth of science knowledge... We have been on two trips with Big Island divers and both trips have been spectacular and the boat crew and divemasters were outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is the boat captain offered to take our wet suits, BC's and regs back to the store and have them rinsed in some "sink the stink" and... More

The manta rays were awesome. There were 6-7 of them when we did the snorkel January 5, 2015. We did the afternoon and night snorkel. If I did it again, I would only do the night snorkel. The afternoon was in very uneventful and than waited an hour or so to get back in the water for the night snorkel.... More

Never thought it would be safe to enter the water after sunset. However I now can eat those words. There is a cove you go with all the other companies around too so its a populated area with lots of boats, activity and lights so the sharks don't like it and prefer solitary prey. You will see the most magnificent... More
