We LOVED this beach so much, we went twice! Fun for all ages, be careful on the rocks though...may be difficult to get to the beach. Big fun waves to boogie board on, wonderful soft white sand beach, showers and bathrooms on site too. Saw some whales off in the distance too! Beautiful place!

White sand was beautiful and water was fairly calm, so recommend this beach although a little crowded. Maybe becayse it is a spring break week. Turtles were near the rocks in the water, which was fantastic.

Must see in Kona! The water was warm and clear. Of course it takes a little skill going down to the beach (may be difficult for the elderly) but definitely worth while.

Kua Bay is the best beach we have seen on the Island so far. Apparently the sand has just returned and it was quite busy. The waves were crashing but once you got past the break, the water was beautifully clear and calm. Reef fish were very close to the beach so easy to get to for any level of... More

One of my favorite colorful place to snorkel, but with caution. This bay is part of a long stretch of beach. Even though it is a small bay this is part of an open ocean, deep, so the tides, currents, waves, wind speeds everything can change quickly and unexpectedly. One time when I snorkeled the water was calm, clear, no... More

One of the best beaches on the big island. The beauty will take your breath away. You can see whales breaching in the ocean then turn around and see snow on Mauna Kea.

We found this to be one of the most stunning beaches on this side of the Island. The water is turquoise, the beach is soft, and the waves are big and beautiful! It's a fun place to play in the waves or boogie board, but be aware that the waves are VERY powerful. There are strong rip tides and surf... More
