This is the best Luau on the island. The seating faces the ocean and the show is pretty good. The food is good and the drinks are free! Pay the extra $5 to get the reserved seating, you choose your own seat in front of the stage, and you eat first!

The food was good and the show was excellent. Would recommend it highly. The only thing I didn't like was the line waiting to get in--could be a bit more efficient.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. We were greeted with shell leis; offered free maitai's or beverage of choice, and watched as the pig was removed from the "deep pit". The food was great. Everyone has to try the poi ( although it tastes like wall paper paste). The entertainment was wonderful from the hulas to the fire... More

We usually add a Luau to our trip every other time when we visited the islands in Hawaii. Often, the performance weren't that great or attractive. This Luau however has a great entertaining team and the MC was one of the best. The Mai Tai tasted good but the food... I wouldn't have missed it. I actually thought I had... More

While on vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii we decided to attend a Luau and after considering several that were offered on the island decided on the Luau at Royal Kona Resort. The price was right under $70 per person and preferred seating is available for another $5. Save your money on the seating as it is on a... More

You can't visit Hawaii without attending a luau, and the Royal Kona's is worth catching. The Oceanside setting provides spectacular sunsets and the show is terrific, especially the Fire Dancer. On the minus side, they pour no-name liquor, wine from boxes and college cafeteria food. Go for the show.
