I totally enjoyed this event..I was staying at the hotel so I was up early when they put the meat on to cook..the food was good and the entertainment was good...the sunset was awesome and I happened to see my first green flash.. For a first Luau, I had a good time and ate way to much...

Didn't stay in the hotel but ate at the restuarant - the food was sooooo good and the Mai tais were the best ever.

We were staying in Hawaii for 3 weeks, but wanted to get a luau in before leaving the big island. This luau was recommended by the expedia agent at the Wyndham, so we booked it the Friday night before departing. It was very nice and a lot of fun. Band was great and open bar (beer and well drinks) is... More

We asked several people and they told us this show is good. But it was a rainy day and the show was indoor. The show was not pleasing, same dancers did the same thing again and again, a young lady in a bad quality sound system told us several stories. Unfortunately, we couldn't hear it well! I was looking forward... More

This was our second visit to this luau and we enjoyed it more this year than last. Traveling with a couple of seniors, they had asked specifically to return to this show as the setting and food are second to none. Lots of great entertainment with a show that doesn't disappoint if you come in with the mindset that the... More

This was a lot of fun and we are glad we went! So many people said oh that's a tourist trap - well I am proud to be a tourist and sample other cultures. The drinks were plentiful and so was the food. The entertainment was terrific. They represented the different island cultures of the Pacific and we learned a... More

My husband and I have been to almost all of the Hawaiian Islands. We brought our 74 yr old mom from North Pole Alaska as this was a dream of hers... We have been to many luau's and this was just average. :( After having been to the Lahaina Luau last year, this one in Kono was very disappointing but... More

We had been advised to go to a luau during our Hawaiian holiday and chose the Royal Kona as it was next door to where we were staying. When we originally booked we were told the price was $88 per person which I thought was a bit high but as it was going to be a unique experience I thought... More

I read A LOT of reviews before choosing a luau for the Big Island. My husband and I ended up going to the free Luau near the Mauna Lani Resort in the shopping center (I don't remember what it's called) and we were so impressed with it that we wanted to see more and chose the Royal Kona Resort Luau....
