The Island Breeze Luau was very enjoyable. Musicians and dancers worked very hard to present a great show. Food was excellent. Recommended.

Real Hawaiian eats with real Hawaiian culture, what a great experience. From start to finish you're fed & entertained in first class fashion. The level of talent is amazing, the costumes beautiful. Something that shouldn't be missed

The wait was demeaning for $100 a plate, the segue into the $15 photo charge was irritating, the food was average, the seating was plastic lawn chairs, the intro to the Luau was ridiculous and overdone, however the dancers were excellent. Dancers get an A, the rest was C or D, don't make hungry people paying $100 a plate pay... More

Aloha, I am sorry to hear about your disappointment at the luau and apologize that you were so unhappy. Each person who attends a luau will have a different experience and some find it an exciting event while others may find it mediocre. However, it is never our intent to anger or upset anyone at our events. It's one of... More

This luau is overpriced. While the setting, on the grounds of the Marriott and right on the shore, is lovely, the buffet itself is mediocre at best. Its evident that the organizers want to cram as many people in as possible...its much too large to really see/hear the show. And, as its a child-friendly event, there were way too many... More

Aloha, I thank you for sharing your comments with us about your recent luau experience. I apologize for the impressions that you got from attending the event. The gathering is a very popular event with our hotel guests and non hotel visitors. Because we only feature the luau three nights a week, the attendance at the dinner reaches maximum capacity... Very relaxing dinner and show. Good food, entertaining Polynesian show and a nice outdoor setting on the seaside. Easy parking. Definitely worth the upcharge for preferred seating. It was not a huge amount and the upgrades were worth it. Express check in lane, prime seating, free fresh pineapple, first call to the food and more. The show was sold out... More

The is the second time I have done a Luau with Island Breeze and I think they may be slipping a bit. Great cultural immersion of Hawaii and the other Polynesian islands. Good and entertaining show especially the fire dancer. I was a bit disappointed with the buffet. The food was great, but the staff seemed very impersonal and it... More

We chose to bring in the New Year with the Island Breeze Luau and are so glad that we did! We got the preferred seating (well worth it). Because of the preferred seating we didn't have to stand in line, sat up closer to the performance, got food and drinks first and enjoyed a few other perks. The music was... More

This is one of three Luau's in Kona. I am not sure if its tge best but we had a great evening which we enjoyed. There was a wide selection of food which you can go up and help yourself to. A number of activities which included temporary tattoo, hula dancing etc. The show was informative and enjoyable.

This luau exceeded our expectations. The food was plentiful, consisting of traditional fare. Drinks were unlimited. However, the highlight of the evening was the dinner show- "He 'Ohana Kakou," which was a true spectacle. The mistress of ceremonies provided information on the languages and cultures, and the performers, accompanied by a 5 member band, brought the audience on a journey... More

If you have never been to a Luau give this one a shot. Like others it's a little commercialized today however they do entertain you with dance and song. The pre-festivities include hula by different age groups and the arrival of the king by sea which provides for great colorful photos opportunities. You'll also be able to get some nice... More
