We left from here for both our night snorkel with the manta rays and whale watch. We ate at the Bite Me Restaurant. Very sweet crab legs!

Many fishing boats, tours (dophin, manta boat tours) leave from this harbor. If you are a fish fan there are seafood restaurants here. Nice to walk around the harbor area and great location to watch sunset. There is a small sandy beach nearby that has a Hawaiian thatched roof structure, soft sand, there are good snorkel spots beyond the harbor... More

The harbor has at least two places to eat. Food at the main location, where you park, is average seafood for the island. Average here is pretty good. They serve poke, hamburgers, fried fish, wine and beer. Down the harbor a ways and tucked in the back is another seafood place that serves only wild caught local fish. We had... More

A great place to sit and enjoy a harbour side beer and lunch. My fish and chips was not great, neither was the fish special of tuna. It was recommended to us for burgers, but as it is waterside we thought we should go for fish. Possibly not the right move. The staff were great and the beer comes in... More

I didn't get to eat at Bite me restaurant but next I will. Cool to see the boats come in with their catch.

A visit to Kona just has to include a run to the marina to check the catch of the day and the boats. Don't forget to stop for a brew too. Always entertaining and worth the time. Give it a go!

Excellent place to push off for a fishing trip, great little diner at the marina and relaxing to sit and watch the boats come and go. There even used to be a fish market down there for fresh fish right off the boats. There are a few shops. Plenty of parking as well.

We made a special trip to see the Marina and if that is all you intend to do there really isn't much to see. Since we had already eaten we didn't try any of the restaurants. What we did like was the beach that was through a park to the right of the marina. It was one of the nicest... More

Two choices for food with different vibes. The Bite Me venue is further down the harbor with a very local vibe, lots of fresh fish choices and bottled beer. The upper waterfront place has a full bar, TV sports, a larger menu and tap beer. Nothing wrong with either one. In the harbor parking area, there is a chandlery, a... More

Nice sized, clean harbour with plenty of small fishing and tour boats, a couple bars and some shops. If you are lucky you will see some fishing boats coming in - best to just hang out at one of the 2 bars / restaurants and wait for that - watch for the ones with the flags up which indicate what...
