If you golf, this is the spot!!! As nice and expensive as the resort courses can be, they are all way too hot in the summer. Much cooler and pleasant at Big Island C.C. Also check the wind conditions before you play anywhere north of the airport. The course is set in a gorgeous country side setting, lots of mammals,... More

Has potential for a great golf course If only it wasn't for the crappy shape the course is in. Had ball stopped several times by rows of mowed grass and the greens plain sucked.

I love this course. It is challenging, but playable. That is if you can play with all the beautiful scenery, animals and birds, including nenes, turkeys, francolins and more. My husband is a 7 handicap and is still challenged by this course. I am a beginner, but am still able to play and enjoy the course. There is water on... More

This course is set in Hawaii's up country. Decent course with lots of diversity and a few forced carries. (Water) Condition are good but not excellent. It's a beautiful course to look at with wildlife. Fair amount of bang for the dollar. Definitely worth the time to play! About $65 to $50 dollars. As others have mentioned the facilities are... More

I play here all the time and really enjoy it. Herman runs the show inside and is a big sweetie. Mark, Nick and Jim take extra special care of your clubs and get you set up for your round. They never forget to tell you pin placement. The course has been revamped since new ownership took over and is extremely... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our round, which followed a late night on Mauna Kea. I agree with other reviews that course could be in much better shape, from tee to green. But loved the opportunity to view the wildlife, particularly the endangered birds (notable, there was nearly one less of those when my second shot on 18 failed... More

We have played here quite a few times over the years and conditions are slipping fast. After playing Mauna Lani and Waikoloa Kings course the conditions here are deplorable. There are large herds of goats/sheep and flocks of turkeys running wild on the course. The goats/sheep are visibly part of the course maintenance staff. They cut the grass. The turkeys... More

This is a pretty good old course. The lay out is fair but challenging. The biggest issue they have is there are no amenities (they are working out of trailers) and the maintenance is less than outstanding. The greens are pretty good but the tee boxes are all beat up. The place needs more money for maintenance. Over all it... More

Just FYI, there are many other courses for less or the same amount of money that will provide a MUCH better golf experience. Whatever problems they are trying to resolve here , should not be taken out on the customers. I am from Hawaii so it hurts to write this review, but I count on the reviews from Trip Advisor... More

We come to Kona every year and golf a lot. We stopped into this golf course, asked the fee and made a reservation. Now, beware this course is not on the ocean, not as well maintained as the resort courses and is a 45 min drive from downtown Kona. We were quoted $45 at booking, but next day they charged us...
