We did the afternoon boat/snorkeling tour. Captain Kai was a great tour guide, and excellent boat operater! Such a fast, fun, and stout boat - can't believe all the cool places we went. Snorkeling at captain cook's reef is indescribable! It was a very good value for 3 hours of true Hawaiian adventure. Special thanks to Captain Kai!

We did a shorter, afternoon snorkeling trip with Dolphin Discoveries and had a great time. The boat only takes 6 people so we got a lot of personal attention, very interesting historical information about the sites we were seeing, and an excellent snorkeling experience at the Captain Cook site. The boat was a zodiac type boat and we always felt... More

Once I got the hang of the snorkel (thanks to my husband), it was great fun. Getting over the nervousness can be a challenge for some. Unfortunately the day we went, the dolphins were hard to find right away (they are wild after all) so we had to go north to rougher waters to find them. This is where I... More

I give the Dolphin Discoveries tour five stars as it meets the highest expectations with professionalism, safety, bang for the buck and overall experience. If you can request Captain Patrick as he's a US Coast Guard Certified Capain, dive instructor, High School track coach and a great guy! The inflatable go fast boat only takes six swimmers( yes, I said... More

Dolphin discoveries is the best snorkeling boat that everyone should be booking with. Their prices are along the same lines as all the rest but it is a much more intimate experience. They hit 2 different bays instead of just one. You get to see all the sea caves and our guide Kai was so knowledgeable to just about everything.... More

We had a great time thanks to Jon and Tonia. They were a great host and hostess. Although we did enjoy the time looking at the Dolphins, our favorite part was going to the coral reefs in a nearby bay to snorkel; as well as Jon teaching us some island history. Williams family

Kai and Kati did a great job taking us down the coast, explaining historical events, and preparing us for snorkeling. It was my first time, and they did a great job of educating and encouraging me without ridicule. At one point, I was ready to board the boat, and Kai saw, somehow, from a ways off and drove the boat... More

This was by far the greatest thing about our trip to Hawaii! Possibly even the best experience of any vacation. After only 20 minutes of driving we were already with the huge pod of about 100 dolphins. Jon and Tonia were amazing. They gave us all of the safety information while driving so we were ready to jump in right... More

We took the early morning Kona's Original Dolphin Adventure with Captain Jon and Kriss. From the moment we checked-in, they were amazing. They made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. They found a big pod of dolphins within 20 minutes and we had a ball! They kept up with the dolphins (moving us from time to time for the best... More
