Description: The 42' Hooked Up is a personalized, family-oriented fishing charter...
The 42' Hooked Up is a personalized, family-oriented fishing charter service that is located in Kailua-Kona Hawaii. The boat has a proven catch record and you can see this in our tournament results. In Kona we are fishing for blue marlin, spearfish, mahi mahi, ono and tuna year round. But for those of you that just want some action we can target smaller tuna on light tackle or even bottom drop for the bigger jacks when they are available. If you have little kids we don't mind reef fishing. So whether its trolling, live baiting or bottom dropping we will work hard and try different techniques to catch you a fish. For those of you that are not fishing people the boat is a great place to sun baith, see whales, dolphins, turtles and rays. We also could take you snorkeling or swim with the dolphins. The boat is very large, clean and comfortable. All the rods and reels we use are in great shape and can catch you a fish of a life time. The boat has plenty of seating up stairs with the captain or has two full size couches in the open cabin. The boat is truly the largest and most comfortable and productive in its price range. The captain and crew are always polite and courteous to the customers. They try to engage in conversation and answer all your questions through out the day and try to get you involved as much as possible. Some days it is fishing and not catching though.

RJ and Sawyer earned their keep helping land 3X 150-250lb Blue Marlins in less than 4 hours of fishing. Knowledgeable and courteous, they were great with our teenage boys. I would recommend anyone to this charter. Chuck and Jim, nice work training this excellent crew.

We had a great 4 hour charter. Caught and released one Marlin that was about 9ft long and about 300 lbs. The second one we hooked was about a 13ft long 600-700 lb. Marlin. Unfortunately, the second one got off, but my 16 year old son had fun fighting it for a while! Great experience. Nice boat. Knowledgeable crew. Thanks... More

My 6th fishing trip for pelagic fish. We were out to try and get a blue marlin. Fishing was slow with all boats but we did pick up a Mahi Mahi. Very comfortable, clean boat. Captain Chuck and crew were very knowledgable and worked hard to try and get me a marlin. Would definitely book again.

my 11 yr old daughter had a great day fishing with Capt Chuck on the Hooked UP. It was July 17. We trolled about 2 hours in very good conditions, but no bites, up to OTEC buoy. The plan was for Allya to at least keep busy on skipjkack tuna, for fun, and see if larger fish were around. Well... More

The KOA crew of RJ and Matt on the Hooked Up Boat treated us to an amazing morning of Marlin fishing and snorkeling in Kealakekua bay. When we booked the trip, our focus was the snorkeling. Fishing was just something to do while we traveled to Kealakekua bay. RJ and Matt were professional, informative, educational, fun and entertaining. Both know... More

I've been on more than 15 deep sea charters in my life. This was my second time with Captain Chuck Wigzell at Hooked Up. I will be back to fish with them again as they deliver a great trip for an exceptional price. Captain & deck hand are both knowledgable, courteous & most of all good at what they do.... More

Captain Jim and RJ took 6 of us out on what turn out to be one of choppiest days of the year. Marlin weren't biting, so they took us out to the Fish Accumulation Device, a buoy out about 9 miles. Caught enough yellow fin to feed 11 of us for several days, incredible sashimi. Did a 1/2 day fishing... More
