Must do adventure while in Kona!

Great experience, very safe and competent crew. Minimal swimming skills needed so this is for virtually everyone.

Book this trip, you will not be sorry. Best money spent on nine day vacation to Big Island. Great discount offered for Holo Holo card holder. Military discount offered as well. On board SNUBA instructor that was great. Wife and I both paid the extra to SNUBA and glad we did. Will book same trip again next year.

This activity is for sure worth its money in Hawaii. You get treated like a king and queen here, see lots of fish and for us even whales and dolphins. Food is good enough for the occasion and white wine superb. I personally did not like the red wine, which was served icecold, but that is a matter of taste.... More

This trip was great for adults! The captain and crew were very knowledgeable about the area and we appreciated learning additional information about the Big Island and marine life. The snorkeling areas around Captain Cook were great and the unexpected dolphin sightings were awesome! The food was very good - the vegetarian options were appreciated too .Everything was extremely well-organized.... More

The Hula Kai is part of the Fair Wind Cruises. The Hula Kai holds 40 people on an open air boat with seating on two decks. We did the breakfast and lunch BBQ cruise which included snorkeling at three locations plus some whale watching. Children have to be 7yr or older to go so it's more of an adult cruise.... More

We couldn't decide between the Hula Kai tour and the normal FairWinds tour, but we are so glad we went with the Hula Kai tour. The boat was great and the captain and crew were extremely nice. We had a very relaxing, fun, and beautiful day on the water and will do it again when we return to the Big... More

Recommend our snorkel, whale(pilot & humpback) and dophins cruise...interesting spots south of Cap.t Cook where we went with Fairwinds on another boat( even better snorkeling). Liked being out on this boat..saw some turtles. Stopped at three spots for variety...great day.

The waters were a little rough so our Captain modified the trip a bit and we snorkeled at Kealakekua Bay. We saw whales galore and on the way back in, saw a Blainville's Beaked Whale!! Very exciting! Captain Kirk, Cameron and the rest of the crew are just fantastic so friendly and accomodating. By the end of the trip we... More

Staff were professional, friendly, courteous and the boat, Hula Kai, is near new and truly lovely. The boat was spacious and it felt like a personal rather than a group outing. Food was excellent & the captain gracious and engaging.
