The whole staff was accommodating and fun. We were treated very well, and the food was good and plentiful. They even took back one couple who had motion sickness, and still gave us a great trip. Couldn't have asked for more.

This was one of the best excursions we have ever been on. We added on the Manta Night Snorkel too. It was a lot of fun and the crew as exceptional for both excursions.

We booked this tour as we wanted something quite varied but also safe for our 8 and 9 year olds' first real snorkelling trip. We were blown away. We picked the morning cruise and there were only about 14 people, not including the crew, on a boat meant for 40+. We had the whole upper deck almost to ourselves. The... More

Captain Kirk and crew of the Hula Kai were amazing during our Night Manta Ray snorkeling tour on the Big Island at Keauhou Bay. The crew was very attentive and made everyone feel relaxed by explaining what to expect from the Rays. When the Manta Rays came right up to our face then did a flip it was amazing, they... More

This is one of those must do trips on your bucket list, we did this about 5 years ago when they first started the night snorkel up, and we didn't see anything....so we decided to give it another go this year. Booking was easy we just made a call and they were nice enough to give us a discount since... More

We signed up for the night snorkel when we returned from the Fair Winds morning snorkel. It was our last day On the Big Island so we were really trying to make the most of it. We got a discount for booking two cruises through them too, which was great and unexpected! The cruise is short and take you right... More

This was an amazing adventure. It was so much more than I expected. I couldn't believe how close the Ray's got. I really enjoyed myself.

We added this trip to our itinerary after we were on Hawaii. I am so glad we did! First, let me say we are both 50, and I realize this is not the party boat that the Fairwinds is. But we are avid snorkelers, and really enjoyed both locations that the captain selected for this trip. Captain Cook's Monumemnt is... More

First, I was rescued by the Hula Kai after a nasty encounter with a sea urchin near the Capt. Cook monument. They were so wonderful, we booked a cruise 3 days later. Both captains, Kirk and Curt were exceptional. The staff members were helpful and friendly. I will start my next trip to the Big Island with Fair Wind, no... More
