The Captain was excellent and the crew very helpful. Seeing Whales and Dolphin was great. The Captains knowledge of the area and the history was great.

The morning snorkel tour is great fun. The Hula Kai crew are really friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is having a fun and safe time. My husband has had a bad experience with snorkeling before but the staff helped him out and even provided a prescription mask which made all the... More

We are very experienced snorkelers and live aboard a catamaran for several weeks during the summer in the Caribbean. We've been on numerous day trips, and the Hula Kai is one of the nicest day trip boats we've ever been on. We did an evening manta ray snorkel with them and an extended day snorkel trip with them. I recommend... More

Just got back from a week on the Big Island. We did the morning snorkel tour on the Hula Kai and had a wonderful day. Everything about the boat and crew was perfect. Captain Kirk was so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. My 13 year old daughter wanted to try paddle boarding and the crew was great helping her learn. We... More

We chose this company based on the reviews for the Manta Ray night snorkel over the Christmas Holiday (Dec 26th). From start to finish, it was a fiasco. We left the dock late due to the Captain allowing other boats to load/unload, and got out to the site after it was already dark. Eight other boats already had their patrons... More

Aloha Suzie, We extend our sincere apologies for your disappointing Manta Ray Adventure cruise last week. As you can see by the other reviews, this is an extremely rare occurrence. To briefly touch on a few of your points; Other vessels may depart for the manta location earlier while it is still daylight, however the manta's do not show up... More

I gotta say the boat (Hula Kai) was fantastic; clean, well maintained, everything looked fresh...the service from the staff personable from Captain Kirk to the rest and I gotta say the food was fantastic; the breakfast which included the egg frittata, croissant, yogurt, granola and fruit...awesome. The lunch was better than I've had on any tour throughout the islands and... More

We swum with the manta rays during a night when the ocean was slightly rough. While it was tough on the shoulders and arms to hold onto the pontoon, the experience definitely made up for it. It was a little slow for the mantas to arrive, but once they did, they put on an amazing show for us. It really... More

The night time snorkeling with the Manta Rays was the highlight of a magnificent two weeks on the BI. Captain Kirk (yes, it's true) and his crew are skilled, knowledgable, fun, safety conscious and provide a truly wonderful experience. This boat holds only 40 and we had less than that. It is suited well for a smaller group without kids... More

I had previously done an evening manta ray snorkeling excursion with this same company and wanted to go back and bring friends with me (as well as have this remarkable experience again, myself). We all had a great time! There were 3-4 manta rays both times I went, and the close proximity that you get to these beautiful animals is... More
