Awesome. Best excursion we did. Boat ride is fun, snorkeling was awesome, and lots of Hawaiian history along the way.... And my teens actually liked the history part. Paul and Buddha made the trip. Request them by name. Our kids ages 10,12,15,17 all agree that this was #1 on our trip

If you only do one thing on the Big Island, make it the "beat the crowds" trip on Captain Zodiac! We (2 adults and 2 kids (8&12) arrived at the office of Captain Zodiac about 20 minutes before the scheduled meeting time. The Honokohau Marina was easy to find and only a short drive from where we were staying. I... More

This excursion was the best choice our family made our entire cruise! There was a little bit of something for everyone from snorkeling in crystal clear water to our captain Collin taking is out to see some whales and educating us on some of the coast line and Hawaiian history. This is a must do for anyone looking for a... More

Being a non swimmer I was pretty apprehensive about being on a boat on the ocean with my wife (swimmer), and 9 and 11 year old girls (also swimmers). I figured that I would atleast see some sights if not go snorkeling. It was a fantastic experience from the get go. Within 1 minute of leaving the dock Captain Colin... More

I am a pretty good swimmer but had never snorkeled before. My 7 year old son had snorkeled in a swimming pool couple of time just before the Hawaii trip but never in ocean and was a bit scared. So was a bit apprehensive about booking this cruise. Good thing I took the risk as had the best time on... More

I had not been to Kealakekua in years and wanted to go again on our recent trip. We did some research and found we was the best tour there is. We booked the 5 hour midday tour called “Beat the Crowd”. The later morning departure was great no getting up early on vacation. Right out of the harbor we found... More

There are many options for snorkeling tours, but this is one of the best on Kona. More intimate, smaller group, and the tour we went on was the "Beat the crowd". 5 hour excursion out and back to Kealakekua Bay. Amazing fish and coral for snorkeling. Captain Andy and Devante were great guides, with history lessons throughout the tour. We... More

Our vacation was last November 2013, I wanted to write a review and just never got around to it. The Captain Zodiac trip was amazing. The Captain and Buddha were awesome! They made it so much fun. We learned a lot about the history of Kona. Buddha wanted to make sure my daughter saw dolphins. And we did. Many spinner... More

We did the 5 hour midday tour called “Beat the Crowd” which departs late morning to arrive at the snorkel destination Kealakekua Bay. Before that we had plenty of time to look out for whales. After a while we succeeded and hit a group of 15 pilot whales – even a baby whale was with them. We spent plenty of... More

First off we would like to thank Colin and Budda for a fantastic snorkeling tour. Both of these guys are very funny, extremely knowledgeable, and they love what they do (or if they don't, you can't tell). We chose to do this excursion while traveling on NCL around the Hawaiian Islands. We were told by west coast family members who... More
