A week pass for the Joshua Tree National Park is $15. You still need to purchase the week pass even when you're there for a couple of hours. If you visit lot of national parks, it's better to purchase an annual pass for $80. Even if you have to pay $15, it's worth going in and see inside of the... More

This retreat center is nestled amid beautiful grounds, buildings designed by descendants of Frank Lloyd Wright. Groups rent the space, buildings are older but kept in good condition. Rooms are mostly doubles or triples, some with shared baths. Very beautiful area, + buildings for meditation, tai chi, yoga, etc.

I've been to Joshua Tree before to hike and loved it then so it was a repeat performance. We were too early to see wild flowers this time but still the rock formations are breath taking.

The ranger at the entrance to the park was very helpful in advising us. We took one hike of moderate difficulty and found the scenery beautiful and the path well marked. We also took one... More
