We have visited zell for over 8 years and always make a short trip to here as it's great conditions no matter what the time of year and with the addition of two more glacier jets over this year can only get better

The Freeride Slopes X1..X5 are great. Very challenging, with lots of variants and a great view. Perfect!

We spent a day at Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. This is a relatively small ski resort, but it's wonderful. The top of the mountain has an observation deck with a stunning view, also there's an interesting tunnel (not for those with a weak heart) that's leading to another observation deck, on the other side of the mountain with an even better... Maybe cannot bee better. You have broad highways and snow parks and X trails which will challenge all ski lovers. The atmosphere is very good.

We were lucky enough to be there on a thursday since there is a free guided hiking walk starting from the top coming back to the next lower station, but you need to reserve it with some time anyway. It took us around 5 and a half hours , beautiful place to hike. We loved to see some snow in... More

...or at the very least - one of Europe's most beautiful mountain tops. The landscape is mainly above the tree line, which makes it a breath taking visit. As a skier it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever skied. Contrary to mny other high altitude commercial ski sites it's characterized by it's slopes being reasonably manageable opning... We travelled to Kaprun on the free shuttle bus from Zell am See, it was a Wednesday in February and although the bus was very full there were no queues for the cable cars or lifts. There are a wide rang of runs with some really good designated off piste areas. The views from the glacier are beath taking on... More

The Kaprun gletscher is a good location to ski on a sunny day. There is an easy access from Zell by shuttle bus.
