In winter it's crowded and there are a lot of visitors from Russia that make you wish that the Russian borders never opened to their inhabitants. Even in summer you can find excellent skiing conditions and the temperature is much better to endure.... More

Kitzsteinhorn is awesome. We went to the Top of Salzburg and it was very cool (or cold). The view from the top is amazing. I would love to go back there again

We took two lifts up on the mountain, first a gondol lift and then a chair lift. Landing on around 2 500 metres. It had snowed during the night, so it was freezing cold up there, but the sun was coming up and it was clear, clear blue. The weather simply couldn't be better for a day of trekking down... More

Cinema shows the mountain through the seasons in about 10 mins, a tunnel runs for 360M under the mountain with exhibits (construction/geology/permafrost etc.) be aware at this height you may find walking back up the tunnel... But, there is no view at all in bad weather. Check the forecast if you want to see the views. If you do go in bad weather... More
