Lovely walk through the gorge and around the lake, free with the Kaprun Summer Card. Easy to reach by bus (ask the driver) or there is a car park.

Been twice now and found it just as spectacular as I did the first time. Be sure to wear the right shoes though. We took 1.5 hours to walk up the gorge and around the lake. The gorge is very impressive with a very well constructed walkway. Turn left at the top of the gorge (for a great view) then continue along the path around the turquoise water. You can dip your feet in, but be prepared it is freezing!

Well prepared boardwalks, easy stroll via steps and board walks to the top of the gorge, fabulous scenery carved by the rushing water. You can also walk around Klamsee lake from the top of the gorge where there is a hut for refreshments. We also enjoyed visiting the hydro-electric exhibition in the building next to the entrance to the gorge.... More

It takes us about 1 hour to walk and nearly 2 another get other things done, like to build reservoirs and bridges (in cold glacier water) and to do every excercise in parcour park. Peacefull morning

Beautiful place to visit. many stairs but it's an easy walk. After the gorge it's recommended to surround the nearby lake. total time is about 2 hours.

Reminds me of Watkins Glen Gorge in the US but on a smaller scale. Well maintained boardwalk and a few information signs in English. Free with a Kaprun-Zell am See card.

Amazing place to visit for a family day out. The walks can be done in all weathers. Lovely views and very photogenic. Can easily spend the whole day here with the walks around the lake and the river as well.

Between 12.00 and 14.00 hrs, the sun is shining just in between the rocks, you never forget... It is about a walk of 25 min but also includes a little reservoir where you can enjoy the impressive high mountains all around
