We caught the bus 660 from Zell Am See to Kaprun and walked up to the gorge. 4euro entry fee. The gorge walk was lovely, all wooden steps, but very accessible with basic level of fitness. The gorge was amazing, the water so powerful and plenty of photo opportunities. We walked through it quite quickly and enjoyed ourselves strolling around... More

We visited the gorge as the start point of our hike up the mountain expecting an exciting and challenging beginning to our day. The gorge is beautiful with some cool waterfalls but we were surprised and slightly disappointed with how quickly we had passed through it (we were through in approx 15 mins). The path through the gorge in entirely... More

Impressive gorge, lots of photo opportunity and good value for 4 to 5 euros. Reservoir at the top makes for a nice walk and suitable for young children with facilities half way round. Quiet when we visited but the walk ways are quite narrow so imagine at peak times it gets pretty busy.

It had rained quite a lot so the water was in full force when we visited. We walked from the centre of Kaprun in the rain but you get wet in any case walking through the gauge so didn't matter. It brightened up at the top so we walked around the small lake. Very picturesque. Free with summer card.

We visited here on a rainy day as other reviewers had said it was ok in all weathers and we were not disappointed. The gorge is narrow and very interesting and you access it along a boardwalk. It takes about 30 minutes to walk through the gorge and there is a lovely lake at the top which you can walk... More

The gorge is well worth a visit. Easy to climb and great views on the way up. A nice walk around the lake at the top.

This walk is like a 1 to 2 hour round trip taking pictures and all. No big elevation differences. Do not forget to watch the movie on the construction of the hydro-electric dams up in the mountains in the information centre.

Been there a couple of times and it's still allways amazing to visit. The boardwalk trail is very well mentained and leads in an easy walk thru the gorge. At the end of the trail you can walk around the Klammsee lake. There is an admission fee, however some cards (Kaprun Card, Salzburger Land Card, etc.) cover the fee.

This gorge is just a must, if you are staying somewhere near Kaprun. I have been there couple of times and it still amazes me what water can do. You can visit the gorge in any weather, but the best time is after heavy rain, as there is a huge mass of water going through. The lake at the end... More
