In quite a short walk you can appreciate the power of water. Be careful, it is quite wet even on a sunny day. Use the Zell am See - Kaprun card in summer to get in for free.
beautiful landscape and extraordinary waterfall. worth getting wet while walking along the water rushing down and splashing the visitors and walls :).
There are many Klamms in the mountain regions of the Salzburg province. The Sigmund Thun Klamm is one of the nicest. You need not more than 1 hour to see it all.
Walk along the gorge above the waterfalls on a wooden walk way with high rock walls either side of you. The information hall is interesting with info on how hydro electricity is made. Wonderful photo opportunities. I suggest walking through to the Klamm See when you come out as there is an alm hut by the lake.
Walking this Klamm doesn't take much time, nor effort: it's an easy walk, even for young kids. The views are wonderful, the noise and violence of the water spectacular. Definitely worth spending an hour or two on.
Afterwards you can easily visit the Maiskogel mountain, whose gondolas stop right around the curve of the road.
