Our family of five went on our first ever family horseback riding. The kids were thrilled, excited, and the staff at Rockin R Rides did a fabulous job keeping our kids amazed at the beauty and grace the horses exhibit. Combine that with the spectacular views of the Black Hills it was a real family winner. Thanks Rockin R!

My girls and I were looking for a nice couple hour ride thru the hills. This place was close, so we stopped in without calling ahead. They took us right away. Had to run and get more horses but no complaints , great attitude about it! We did the 1 1/2 hour ride. It was pretty scenery, friendly guide and,... More

There are a number of horse riding stables in the area but this was recommended by our hotel. The staff where friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend this stable if you are planing a trek on horse back.

My kids and I had scheduled a horseback riding trip. While waiting for instructions my daughter got sick so her and I were unable to go on the ride. The owner was very nice and immediately returned our money. My son did go and enjoyed his ride. The next day all three of us returned and rode horses. My son... More

Nicely run operation three miles outside town off the highway. We signed up for a 90 minute expedition to take advantage of some of the additional switchbacks not available to those choosing the short duration tours. Horse mounting, dismounting, and handling instructions were well done, and slow pace of the actual rides made helmets pretty much unnecessary. The ride itself... More

Beautiful scenery, the two hour ride offered a nice perspective of the surrounding Black Hills. The ride itself is nose to tail but we expected nothing more actually. Seems that in the area there are no places where you can have anything else than a factorized stable where people are continuously loaded on and off horses. So if you can... More

Spectacular views mixed with some historical information. A great ride for youth and adults. Katie was a great Trailmaster.

Rode a 1.5 hour ride on a hot day. We got to see all the horses and all seemed well fed, shod and cared for. Staff were friendly and professional. We all enjoyed the view on the ride including Crazy Horse. My 9 year old is not a fan of horses and was happy to be riding Kitty the Equine... More
