We went tonight and I couldn't wait to review Grand Magic!! I've never been to a show where the star illusionist (Duane Laflin) greeted everyone who wanted to meet him, plus all the assistants and gave autographs. My husband was especially impressed they took the time to appreciate everyone who came to the show! My 8,7 and 5 year old... More

We are still trying to figure out the illusions we saw--mind boggling! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and our girls, 8 and 10, woke up early this morning (the day after the show) and are excitedly preparing their own magic show for us using the Grand Magic kits purchased at the show. We're on a 5 week RV trip across America... More

We have been to magic shows in Branson, Missouri over the years and this is just as good (if not better) as what you're going to see you there. In fact, I think the pace was quicker and we saw more amazing illusions in this one show than most! Good, clean, family entertainment. As far as the cheesy comment by... More

As long as you remember you're in a small tourist town and expect a campy, gaudy, home-grown magic show, you'll have a great time. The show was excellent and fun. It's not Vegas, but it's not supposed to be. His outfits are ridiculous, his patriotic speeches sappy, and his cast a little juvenile, but that's part of the show. We... More

Such an interesting review. So positive and complimentary. Thank you. About my costumes...what can we say? It is a style choice. I've chosen to dress fancy rather than walking out in blue jeans with a shirt that is untucked. To say the least, what I wear is interesting and that is part of being entertaining. My comments about the USA... More

If you want to be entertained don't miss Grand Magic Show! My husband and I went and thoroughly enjoyed it! This show is a great value as are the snacks you can purchase (popcorn, cotton candy, sodas). Parents with little kiddos ... be ready to spend some money as they sell magic sets and all things magic :) The staff... More

The show was moderately priced and they delivered for what they charged. There is a special going on where each child receives a free ticket for each adult ticket and my 18 year old was at a discount rate as well. That made it an affordable show for all of us to see for under 55 dollars. It was a... More

There is no time in the show when the magician mentions even one of his credits (accolades). In a very brief video introduction to one routine, a narrator mentions a particular honor the magician received, because it helps the audience appreciate the demonstration that will follow. Apart from that, the focus of the nearly two-hour show is enitrely on giving... More

Great show for kids - adults with no kids may not appreciate it but this man and his staff are Christians and don't joke about "magic" - they let you know it's simply "illusion"! My daughter got to help him on stage and our kids had a blast - He asks that you don't try to figure out the illusions,... More

Grand Magic has been in Custer for three years and I have visited five times. Each year the show changes enough that it is truly an awesome experience. This year offers a new pre show act and a one minute escape from a straight jacket right on stage by one of the young assistants. The brother sister dance team is... More

You wouldn't expect to see this level of entertainment in Custer, South Dakota. Over the years I've have seen many illusionists, mostly in Las Vegas, and this show ranks with the best. Don't skip a night of fun from being amazed because you can't image a magic show in a small tourist town could be worth seeing. The Black Hills... More

Thanks for the review and so glad you had a good time! Especially glad your kids loved it. We are committed to family entertainment and truly do want the show to appeal to all age groups. We do have many adults come without kids, who also have a great time. Kids love the show, but it is not a "kiddie"... More

Loved the show and so did the kids. The magic tricks were great and we were really impressed. There are snacks for purchase, pop and popcorn and cotton candy. There is a few items for purchase and autographs after the show.
