This lake is so clear and so beautiful! Surrounded by spire rock formations. Beautiful calm water. Looked amazing!

I drove here just to see it for myself. It's by far the prettiest of the lakes in Custer. Who cares if it's man made? There's a great little loop trail around it with lots of special little touches. I don't think I'd classify it at a hike but a wonderful walk. It's not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers, too many... More

Read that this was a not to miss. We could have missed but everyone might be different. It is a lake.....with a hiking loop path around it. They have boats canoes etc to rent. Lots of people.....too many for my taste. Would have rather spent our time on trails less traveled.

This looked wonderful in all the pictures and sounded great in everything we read. But we arrived on a Sunday afternoon in August to find it completely swamped. There was no parking, the water was full of people and the trails were by no means peaceful. We passed it by and if ever in the area again, we will make... More

Beautiful Lake. My wife and I brought our Swim suits. Went over to the north side of the lake and swam in the waters. Cold water in summer, but refreshing. You can walk around the lake. Do if you have the time. You won't regret it. The Lake has a convenience store. Grab a snack or beer and relax. Make... More

Absolutely gorgeous lake. Was the perfect site for the wedding going on while we stopped. Great place to stop and just sit and look at the wonderful scenery

Last time I was there was 24+ years ago. Very little change Great lake, lots of photography opportunities. Be sure to park on the west lot near the food building not the east lot. This is a one mile trail. Very easy for the first 3/10 and last 3/10 and more challenging in the middle. It's good for kids under... More

Fun for swimming, sight seeing, hiking, nature, etc! MUST SEE! Can even climb a few of the rock formations! Fun, easy hike for the entire family!

This was a beautiful lake. We had a picnic, went swimming and hiked around the lake. The only complaint I would have is it was pretty crowded.
