The Original Cocktail Tour brings you to some of the oldest and most historic locations in the French Quarter, and explains the history of certain NOLO created drinks - the Sazerac (America's first cocktail), the Pimm's Cup, the Hurricane, Mint Julep, Absinthe Frappe, The Grasshopper, etc. Go with friends (preferably drinking friends) and make it an early evening of drinks... This was well worth the money! Our tour guide, Sandy Smith, took us to 4 different places. We started off with a complimentary drink at the place of departure and moved on to the places.... Sandy did a great job, filling us in on the history of each of the 3 beautiful restaurants that we went to, (plus we went... More

This tour is a great experience. Our tour guide Bryan gave us all the background on the drinks, bars/restaurants, and people who created some of New Orleans great drinks. As a bonus you get a detailed tour of Antoine's. If you think the hurricane is it you have a lot to learn/drink.

This was great. Drinks are not included but you get full ones made fresh by great bartenders. And you can take them to go so no rush. Also no pressure to buy a drink if you don't want too. I did thiugb and they were strong and tasty! Go to neworleansonline.com and get a 5$ off coupon per person. The... More

We took the Cocktail Tour to get a chance to try local specialties, and that we did! Our guide was the gentleman who created this tour (his name escapes me) and he was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot, tried a lot, and came out wanting more! A must-do in NOLA.

Our guide was Joe and he was great. Everyone needs to understand upfront that cocktails ARE NOT included in this tour. Folks who don't understand this will not have a good time. We we well aware and thus, no grumpiness. You will walk on this tour to a handful of historic establishments, which ones, you never know for sure! Joe... More

We decided to do this tour after reading some good reviews. We really wanted to get Brian as our tour guide as he seemed to get some rave reviews and I can assure you he did not disappoint. David kept it interesting by ensuring that he mixed just enough history with humour. We has some great drinks (and some not... More

I guess I wasn't sure what I was getting on this tour. I knew that I would be walking and drinking, but I thought there would be some more history of the city and architecture, but it wasn't like that at all. This tour focused on a specific drink and it's history and visiting the bars that specialized in those... More

This was a highlight of our trip. It was really fun walking around the French quarter drinking old-time cocktails and listening to a knowledgeable local historian. It was an enjoyable and memorable evening.

After reading other reviews, I was hoping we would get Joe for our guide and we did. The tour is a lovely mix of history, trivia, visiting and learning about New Orleans, and drinks. It's a nice stroll through the french quarter and it was lovely to listen to all the interesting facts and tidbits, and then stop in one... More
