Had a fantastic time with Joe on the Cocktail tour. Enjoyed the history and interesting conversation. From the Sazerach to the Pim's Cup all the way to the Green Fairy, from Antoin's to Pirates Alley on to Tujague’s I had a great time. Ended up eating at Tujague’s after and had a awesome meal. Thanks again.

Joe was our guide for the tour - top guy! We got to try some interesting cocktails and hear stories about how those cocktails came to be, also visited dining rooms of the really old (but famous) restaurants - we would never have guessed how much history are attached to them. Would highly recommend. It's a bunch of fun and... More

I'm not a big drinker yet this tour not only lets you sample different kinds of drinks, Brian (our guide) is wonderful at giving the background behind the history of the drinks and the various establishments that serve them. We went into well-known restaurants/bars and got a true New Orleans flavor of each one. We even got to view the... More

You are so right. Even if you do not drink alcohol, this tour shares so much history and stories, as well as entry to well know and slightly hidden bars and restaurants. It is wonderful walking excursion in the French Quarter. More

This tour was so much fun. It's really a great history tour of some amazing restaurants and bars ... and then you drink. We had a fun group of people - when you walk around and drink together, you get to know each other very quickly. Joe was such a wonderful guide. He had such amazing stories to tell about... More

I would recommend you take this tour above all the others if you want an interesting, highly informative, and relaxed tour of some of New Orleans oldest restaurants and bars. Joe Gendusa was our guide on 3 August 2015, and I recommend you buy his book from the Pirates Alley Café at the end of the tour, where you can... More

This was the best tour. Joe is an excellent ambassador for his city. He tells the history of New Orleans through the tales of the cocktails. We learned so much of the buildings, the people, the businesses and the characters throughout the history of the city. We learned so much more than on the other trips I have taken to... More

This was NOT our first trip to New Orleans, but it was definitely our best -- due in part to the time we spent with Joe on the Cocktail Tour! A former teacher, Joe gave us a very thorough history lesson on the French Quarter and its culinary establishments, and gave us plenty of time to sample the local drink... More

We absolutely loved this tour!!!! Our tour guide, Brian, was fantastic!!! He was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans and the establishments that we visited. He made it so fun and so interesting. We visited Sylvain's, Pirate's Alley Absinthe House, Antoine's, and the Carousel Bar at the Monteleone Hotel. I believe this tour doesn't necessarily visit these exact... More

My friend and I were only in New Orleans for a day but we wanted to see the city and learn some history. We found about this tour and immediately bought tickets. It was the best tour of a city I have ever experienced! The tour guide was wonderful and full of knowledge. His name was Joe and he created... More

This is much more than a "cocktail tour". Oh, to be sure, you are given the opportunity to try some of the best cocktails in New Orleans, but Joe the guide is quite knowledgable about the history of the French Quarter and he absolutely delights in imparting his knowledge on the tour attendees. You are taken to really historically significant... More

The tour is so much more than hearing about cocktail history, or even tasting the wonderful beverages, but also the places that you visit. Many people find their new "favorite place" to visit again and again. Thank you. More
